I just had a bit of an idea for MacGyvering a reinforced stand for Razer's gaming chairs. I usually have to buy a higher weight-capacity chair because I flop down into them (don't say a word about that, please), and I came up with an idea just now to construct a frame for the base that is much sturdier, at the cost of rendering it no longer able to lean back, swivel, or roll, and taking away its height adjustment.
