Well nothing really changes the computer can just detect input faster. You might not see any change.

If you have software monitoring usb it should show it running faster. I know a few motherboards that are older lock the usb bus speeds so does crossplay to 120 hz

In the 1990 we use to overclock the usb that's what started the fight to get faster polling rates.
