You gonna want to use your THX Spatial Audio code found with your headset peripheral device. Follow the prompts. THX Spatial is indeed 7.1 surround sound quality, so seeing your photo illustration is perfectly in line with what you should be seeing

Next phase will be, to go into your windows audio output and select the output that leads to your 7.1 surround audio. Then test it using the RΛZΞR THX spatial software to confirm that it works.

Let me know how it goes, or if you have any other concerns

Yeah 👍 hardware acceleration is a newer concept introduced by Google Chrome back in the early 2000’s. It’s fickle at best and sometimes if for example, your buddy has outdated drivers it would have a negative impact on his equipment feedback (audio included) hence why you should always doubly confirm if your friend doesn’t have inferior performance on their software.

Also try retoggling the hardware acceleration to see if that fixes it

The static could also be fixed with the KRISP feature on discord - try to emulate that same static in other platforms offering a voice chat concept. Maybe it’s just limited to discord? Is so, double back to enabling KRISP

1660 is decent just remember retail gpus can only do up to 3 transcodes stream for plex etc, you will also need a dummy cable to boot the pc in headless mode as booting without a active signal with most cards will fail post.

Ah, yes - the pro definitely has some nice features added to them. Considering we are discussing the Viper line of mice, there is in fact a new one dropping imminently - I believe it’s the VMSE (Viper Mini Special Edition) and it is in my opinion absolutely stellar.
