I understand you won't run the thing at 60hz either. But running your PC at extremely high fps isn't a good thing and you should never push it like that esp with a 1660s.

Whether it's 165 or 270, they all aim to achieve smoothness. However since the TUF has a higher input latency and slower response time at 60hz, you may have to crank your game to super high fps to achieve the same smoothness as 165hz.

Smoothness is the result of everything: refresh rate, input lag, latency, etc. Not one factor alone. Monitor with extremely high refresh rate is the same gimmick as the gud ol day DPI race on mouse.

Short story first, I have been using a Kraken TE for years, everything was fine. I got a Kraken V3 on 22th December, and honestly, the audio quality was terrible compared to the TE. I returned and went back to using my TE. Then I read about the Synapse update in late 2023 that had a lot of issues in firmware and equalizers, and realized that I didn't have issues with my TE because I always used it in chat mode, which doesn't work with Synapse. I tried using in game mode, which is compatible with Synapse, and no sound came from the headset at all. With that said, I'm looking for a new headset and want to ask 2 things about Razer headsets in specific:

Could Synapse be the reason why the V3 sounded worse than my TE? I don't have the V3 still so I can make the test.

Is the Synapse audio fixed now? I was interested on getting a Blackshark V2 Pro 2023, but now I'm afraid the Synapse software will ruin the headset.
