Yes I have done that before. You can normally find drivers on website also and security updates for the os effecting what you have installed if not running updating server.

I even have a few pc that don't have wifi Bluetooth and network basically no way to connect to outside networks. For development work of OS or games.

A little more work to get newest drivers.

Some only down load source code on a few servers and don't install anything but source code. But they are just a small group of special people.

I have stuff 10 years old with out batteries problems. But I do used wired stuff more still. I find the batteries stuff needs to be use a few time if sitting more then a year or two.

It was strange doing lipo batteries research they seem to fail at one time just before or after warranty. Once proof sent into courts changes to design were allowed

Stuff running better now since they reliaze how limited the supply was for the industry after more competition started using technology and had to share resources.

It could be an interesting future if they remove lipo from laptops. For higher end equipment. Use for lower powered equipment.

Dell hard completion for sure they been selling longer and supply business contracts that are much bigger. I still get razer myself or looking at lenarvo they have a few great option with very new technology if it works other will be using soon. But Dell does have a great support network plus trusted design. But foir light weight I definitely look at razer 14 or 15 inch option
