I can tell the difference between V3P and VMSE, so yeah - you can actually feel it. That doesn't mean a lot ofc, but still.

I can’t imagine the chasis would have to be altered much if at all

Admittedly, I am assuming here. But if you’re going to buy this mouse, which was at the time of first release, beyond what else was available, and due to this we pay a fair premium, why wouldn’t they continue keeping it up to date every several waves or so (as long as major modifications to the design aren’t needed to accomplish this)

That being said, I’d very much like it, but since there are other 8k polling options of similar or better weight, with newest sensors it’s hard to justify

Just in case anyone finds this useful for future drops, here's how I managed to buy one on time:

1. Login (or create) a Razer account and have all of your details filled in, including your card details.
2. Copy and paste the last three (or four) security numbers on your card
3. Add a dummy item to your cart that you do not intend to buy
4. Have two tabs on razer open, one in the basket showing your dummy item, and other on the VMSE page
5. Starting at the latest 10 mins before the drop [because sometimes you can add it to cart a few minutes before the official drop], refresh the VMSE page until it says you can add it to cart
6. Click add to cart, and on the other tab, remove the dummy item from the cart. The cart page will refresh with the VMSE inside it
7. Check out, clicking fast through the delivery options
8. Select the credit card and paste your credit card security numbers into the box
   9 (Optional). Make sure you have your banking or credit card app open on your phone so that you can approve the purchase quickly

To be fair he has got a point. Have you ever had the ill say groves if that's the right word on your controller get all dirt inside. I have a honeycomb mouse and it does get pretty dirty after long gaming sessions but it's decently easy to cleen. But yeah I doubt dirt falls from the ceiling

Sometimes products get stuck at a level on synapse and/or other apps due to it being miscalibrated to tell the battery level

I’m not much of a reviewer so this might not be very useful info, but here goes. I got mine from the June drop, and the QC was perfect, no little bumps or creaking or anything like that. The mouse is very pretty. It has a very nice sparkly black color, very mesmerizing to look at with your flash on it. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t buy things to usually just keep in a display somewhere, so I actually daily use it. One small problem I have is that I use side buttons, and I find myself accidentally tapping them, I’m pretty sure it’s from me moving my hand around and my fingers sliding up to them. I could definitely fix this by adding mouse grip tape (which it comes with), but I like how pretty it looks as well as I’ve been lazy. Another thing I did, and this was just up to personal preference, was added dot skates to it. This made a small personal feeling improvement, but the regular PTFE skates it comes with do just fine. It is VERY light and you can almost feel like there’s nothing there, so be careful with over flicking. A good controlled pad can help with that. All in all it is a good small and light mouse with really good QC. I do recommend not using too high of a polling rate if your CPU can’t handle it, it could make your games stutter. Also, you wouldn’t really be able to tell a difference from 2k to 8k really, unless you’re hooking up response test rigs and stuff to it lol. Oh and the high polling rate does drain the batter faster. I found that I had to charge it every like 2-3 days depending on how long my gaming sessions were on 8k polling. I have since turned it down to 2k and it lasts about a week.

It’s actually a strange story. I’m a big RAZER fan, and I almost exclusively used RAZER products. I learned about a year ago that a streamer I’m a fan of had started his own mousepad company. The only available mousepad available was the glass one, and I did what any huge fan would do and I bought it. Been running since then, and I’m in love with glass pads and wanna buy more. I also learned about the enthusiast market because of that.

I would say the VMSE is definitely a flex as well as a “collectible” for RAZER fans. There’s definitely other mice out there with similar specs for less. If you are a big RAZER fan and you have the money, it’s definitely a “why not” type of thing.

I would check out the WLMOUSE Beast X mini if you're looking for something small like the VMSE

There's also this one cheaper mouse I know, the ATTACK SHARK R3

Darmoshark M2 is another I've seen

I recommend you check out some peripheral reviewers like Boardzy and Jakeu if you wanna learn more about the enthusiast market

This question is always a little silly to me. I don’t think people realize that there are cloth pads that cost just as much as glass pads. In truth, there are some people that do just fine with a $25 mousepad. It all really depends on how much your willing to invest on finding the perfect mousepad for you. You could go off and buy a glass mousepad and get good with it, or you could just stick to a cloth pad. In reality you’ll have to go through multiple pads to find the perfect one for you. Not all glass pads are the same either. There’s different coatings and manufacturing processes that go into glass pads as well, that will change how the pad feels. That’s why I’m a big advocate for “if you have extra money, why not?”. In the end, if you don’t like it, you could always sell it. You might lose some money (or in some cases if you buy and sell a limited edition mousepad, make more money), but at least you tried it out.

Also I’d add to that, that the type of skates you have on the mouse make a huge difference to the way every pad feels

Some people prefer ptfe on cloth some prefer glass

It really depends on what sort of feel you want

I like a lot of control so I have a cloth control pad with ptfe skates which for me personally is perfect

It’s all down to personal tastes at the end of the day

No worries, I definitely understand the concern. If I were you, I’d look for vendors in your area. A lot of these peripheral companies send shipments to vendors in different countries, so that people can buy their products without having to pay high shipping costs. For example, Europe has Max Gaming and here in the US we have Lethal Gaming Gear

Yeah, helps a lot, but they increase the price (like the double haha). I tried to buy the Artisan hybrid, but i canceled, because of the taxes. So besides the one glass pad that u have, which ones u think its good (above budget)
