Can do it with any newish hardware basically. 4070 Ti + a strong cpu is more than enough to enjoy this monitor. Of course a 4090 makes stuff easier. 4K for singleplayer games for me. And 1080p for competitive, feels really good

to be honest the higher the refresh rate of the monitor, the better/more important those 8kHz are. For my "poor" 1440p 240Hz 2kHz is ideal (battery/performance balance) and defo over 4kHz not needed. The monitor refresh too slow to actually feel the deference and reap the benefits. Not that it's still not objectively better, but due to the CPU hit and the battery life hit + many games have issues with over 2kHz - it's not really a must.

Short answer: yes, massive difference. You will feel it right away. Even from 60 to 120Hz is easy to tell right away (owned samsung 2233rz - one of the first 120Hz LCD monitors available).

If you play games where you only get 200 frames or non competitive games it is better (brighter faster more color accurate) if you play games like cs, rl, lol the 360 would be better. If you watch alot of movies and TV either way get the 240 oled bc it is plenty fast and will be better for that

mine side buttons are not moving at all, but I have bumps on the chassis (left button big one that is easy to feel with your fingertips, two on the left side where my thumb is and one on the right side). I feel the QC if anything is worse vs early productions. Also had horrible support experience when I tried to replace it to the point I will stick with it - so good luck to everyone.

the issue is I see a lot of people having some kind of QC issue and especially the low number of each batch - it's not good look. Also the support is awful and seems like 3rd party company instead of inhouse razer support team. They don't even understand english, use templates ONLY, don't read what you write them and offer you awful replacement options without any flexibility and each time another person replies to you 😄 to the point I had 3 in the same F day - you can imagine how bad it is to explain each time again as none read the email/discussion chain. I can start to describe the whole 1 week mess, but I don't want to remind myself how bad it is (buying razer in my country stores? Going with the defective item and replacing it in 10 minutes first day. This is how it is here and I am not in the best EU country ever).

in the end they FORCED my hand to either buy the mouse again, they send it and even if it's worse than the one I have now - I must send back the current one I have... oh and they told me that if they don't have stock AFTER I PAID, they can offer me another mouse instead... fun fun I already own v3 pro and tons of other high end razer mice. So 320 euro again, you may receive offer for another mouse, you may receive even more defective one and they will still demand to send back to them the current one without any flexibility. Anyway, defo one of the worst support I deal with my whole life.

This is simply not true. I have issues with mine and they want me to pay another 320 euro to send replacement + claim (and I asked for clarification that they confirmed) if there is no stock another solution will be offered via another mouse.

So saying like that “they will surely have” is not true based what the support told me few times and also is stated in the rma terms. @hoary wing I would suggest to return it as per the law (14 days for online purchases in EU) and wait for another drop instead of using the warranty.

I purchased the VMSE last year and recently had to do an RMA for it as there was intemittent disconnects between the mouse and the dongle. The process was pretty smooth though. I chose the advanced RMA where I made a deposit for the mouse, they shipped me the new one, I sent the old one back and then was refunded for my initial deposit once the defective unit was recieved. You can opt out of this and just do the basic but that requires you to ship the old unit back first and then they'll send the new unit out (no deposit required for that option)

I will say that the build quality on my replacement seems better than my old unit (which I believe was from their 2nd batch). I found the side buttons on my old unit to be a bit mushy and the scroll wheel had a tiny bit of rattle to it. Side mouse buttons on the new unit feel much better and I have zero rattle on the scroll wheel (even after a vigorous shake)

The deposit for 320 Euro should only be if you were opting in to do the advanced RMA. If you do basic you don't need to provide a deposit. The only drawback is you have to send the old unit in and wait for it to process before the new one is shipped and in your hands. So if the VMSE is the only mouse you have at the moment I could understand why that would be problematic. Generally they'll keep stock set aside specifically for RMA purposes which is not part of their intemittent online drops for purchase.

@quaint raptor I have small bumps on the mouse and from them only one (on the left mouse button) is easy to spot and even then it's like really small. Naturally your fingertips are sensitive tho and you can totally feel it. They told me that the warranty can be refused if I use the normal RMA and the mouse returned back to me. The chances that someone inspecting who knowns how many mice/laptops/keyboards/razer stuff per day to not really go into it and do basic checks on the mouse (without those bumps on the shell it's flawless) and to tell "that guy is trolling" is real or to just be "it holds to our quality standards". Especially given what awful issues people are having that are obvious. So no, the normal RMA was not an option for me as they can pretty much claim it's up to their standards and it's not any warranty issue that I have some small bump on the left mouse button and few even smaller one on the sides (that feels like bigger particle of dust on touch, etc)

and rest assured that the support staff did all they could to make me think it's exactly what will happen if I use the normal RMA and even the advanced RMA can end up badly for me albeit paying 320 euro more.

here are the bumps using 15PM micro. Valid it was taken in the evening and I can take better pictures during the sunlight, but still - if they are that small with micro picture you can imagine how they look from half a meter for example. You can see them only if you put your eyes right next to the mouse. Again - they are totally feelable and you try to remove them via rubbing as it's the same as having something between your teeth. I will get used to them for sure, but 320 euro to have defects on the shell while I never had before such issue with 10+ razer mouses over 17 years is irritating.

In the end I had for a week of back and forth over 10 support representatives on my case. Basically they don't have "one person will deal with your case till closure if not something like days off/sick leave/etc then someone else took it" - they seems like contractor 100% that is doing the support, don't really understand english, don't care, no flexibility, etc.

It really comes down to preference and what you want out of your gaming experience. Where is your threshold for balance between immersion and competitive needs? I personally game on a 32-inch, but I enjoy it for the immersion in story-driven narrative games. While I'm competitive in FPS, I'm willing to make the sacrifice for an overall balanced gaming experience between the two. If your focus is strictly on competitive FPS then it would be more suitable to go with a 24-27inch high refresh rate monitor.

for my 240Hz monitor I am using 2kHz all the time - it's the perfect balance between battery life and performance + doesn't cause issues in any game and doesn't hit the CPU as much. For higher refresh rate maybe it will make more sense to try 4kHz and even 8kHz, but both as feel and objective measurements are not really worth the drawbacks.

if your CPU is decent go with 2kHz all the time for V3 pro. The battery life is actually really nice at that setting and far better than VMSE (bigger battery is the key here for the most part)

@languid drift the difference is smoother feel while playing, but it's not that big. Naturally the more higher refresh rate your monitor is, the more noticeable will be to have higher mouse polling rate

generally I still think even for 240Hz that 1kHz is totally fine and you will benefit still from the good sensor/general mouse performance with V3 pro and the battery life on 1kHz is absurdly good. Even 2kHz is reaaaaly good.

a lot of aim flexing happening here, but I can pull my lachesis from 2007 (yeah the OG lachesis, not the one with updated sensor) and use it for two weeks achieving 95% of my aim - I am mostly playing quake and one of those 70+% RG and 50+% LG guys for those familiar, but I had/have great aim in any FPS game ever. Gear can defo help you show more of your skill, but in the end it's your skill. Saying that I own V3 pro and VMSE - V3 pro is objectively better mouse: better sensor (yes, you can actually tell), better buttons, a LOT better mouse feet, better battery life. Shape is reaaaaly subjective, but V3P is "safe shape" while VMSE is not - only small to medium hands will work with it and even then it depends how you hold your mouse.

but if we talk looks then let me tell you a story - VMSE is the best looking mouse I even saw (not just own, but saw) + I am fine with the shape and the "holes" are even good feeling letting air go through and cool your hand.

skates is the weak spot easy to avoid, but chasing weight razer really skipped on those not just as size, but also as tickness. If you use soft mouse pad like me (goliathus chroma) the mouse really drags to it even if you don't push on it, the feet are just that thin. While V3P glides like a butter - the difference is actually massive. On hard mat it will be a lot better I think, but still.

I'm using a zowie gsr (brave I know) not sure how that falls on the softness chart but it definitely isn't hard and I don't have that issue at all.

razer R&D guy told me that there won't be a sensor swap as it will require redesigned PCB and new certificates. Highly doubt they will release VMSE V2, 99.99% it will be another model and most likely that model will be V3 Pro signature edition.

from business point of view it makes a lot more sense - those who own VMSE will most likely purchase the new Signature Edition mouse as collectors (and that is not necessary the case if it's the same mouse with just updated sensor). Also V3P quickly is getting gamers favourite and competitive mouse so it makes sense to have signature edition of it. Not to mention that in contrast of VMSE that is too small for many people, V3P covers a lot more hand sizes and grips.

Agreed, but the LGG’s or razer or many of the others I can toss in the washer and dryer, my artisans I take to western dry cleaner. Small ranges of differences, their quality is higher but I ultimately have experienced far more slow down w the artisans.

I do have the sleeves actually for most artisans only but yes agreed the gunk build up-> slowdown still occurs of course. That in itself isn’t even an issue most the time w these razer mice including the vmse. But it still has to be swapped faster.

Currently using it with a viper v3 pro (and obsidian pro air skates) while i wait patiently for another vmse drop. I use it for Valorant but hear it's better in more tracking intensive games like overwatch etc. Many people don't recommend it for valorant / tacfps games as it is really fast and people can struggle with stopping power. For me it works quite well now, and I feel like aim training has been more efficient (as tension / jitters shows very easily on it). I'm happy with it but will probably eventually transition to another pad later down the line for tacfps specifically
