This is such a cool concept, id be down to do this next week if you are still up

merry tide
#

Maybe
I'm free most of the time and don't have (although should) regular sleep schedule, but I do currently live with the neighbors behind not-so-soundproof door, so unfortunately no speaking later than 7pm UTC for me, chat only
And that can be a problem, if anyone needs teaching (and these games (except heat) are quite heavy), which I am qualified to do... if I can speak, that is
So yeah, timing aside I'm free most of the time and would probably be happy to do this more than once

So, is there a specific time or u just discussing? If there is, i'd be glad to join.

merry tide
#

Well I just wanted to do it sometime today, but this is just discussing

#

Maybe not today necessarily

#

But if you want in, you can suggest the time you're comfortable with and I'll ask you when(if) more people show up

void dew
#

As for me - im as free as a bird in the sky.

merry tide
#

Well that's a copy

merry tide
#

So

#

@void dew

#

Me and Apo (a guy from another channel) are both rules guys who don't like playing games until we ourselves know the rules well

#

Which is why he's gonna read the rules for Kanban and HC

#

We've decided that we can play games in the stated order (meaning HC - Heat - KanbanEV), just not necessarily back-to-back, since it's a bit too long (I'm okay with playing for 6 hours straight, but my scheduling and time difference should make it impossible and also I guess most people don't fancy 6-hour marathons of games in one sitting)

#

So the point is, if that's ok with you, I can explain the rules to you separately, you can read them yourself and ask me questions or watch a video explaining the game rules and ask me questions (for HC there's Meeple University one and it's really good)

#

Just so we can jump into playing when we decide to eventually do it

void dew
#

I'm ok with reading but would prefer personal explanation.

#

if I u are planning to start today I'll be ready in 30 mins.

merry tide
#

Well I have about two hours today, if you want

@gritty pebble, I think Sunday 4pm UTC is the time we're looking at
Wanna join?

gritty pebble
#

I'd love too

#

I'll be there

merry tide
#

Ok

#

I also think most everybody knows the rules already

#

I could teach you beforehand or there's a great teaching vid on YT, or do you want to read yourself - whichever you like

#

And also we're only playing Horseless Carriage this Sunday, maybe also Heat, but I doubt it
Many people are interested to play the rest of the games some other day, in that order, just not back-to-back

gritty pebble
#

Are we playing?

merry tide
#

Yeah, i'm starting rn

#

Do I need you as friends to invite to a personal call?

#

Or do I just convince the other guy to join this server

gritty pebble
#

probably best if he joins the server

merry tide
#

Yeah, and the fifth guy texted an hour ago, said he feels sick

#

Well, Apo's setting up

#

We can slowly start

#

Can someone host the TTS server?

#

I don't have the best internet here

gritty pebble
merry tide
#

So, cars on Sunday?

#

And also would any of you be up for a game of Voidfall tomorrow at 3-5pm UTC? Or later next week
I should warn you, however, that it has complexity of over 4.5 on bgg (out of 5), which puts it in top 10 of the hardest board games I've played, and heavy board games are my jam
For comparison, Horseless Carriage is barely above 4.15

void dew
#

i guess its not sunday then

merry tide
#

Yeah
Apo had other plans as well
