blender in brickadia when
unfortunately,
Wait... so is that meaning the smooth tile going to be the only tile in the game without bevels then?
Seamless microbrick variants(Closed)
probably, and i dont think it's gonna go away since some people use it to build seamless ceilings, walls or floors
I kind of just wish they would remove it. Even if it aesthetically breaks older builds
Huh. Why would you want to remove it?
Really because it’s the only brick that breaks the “no bevels” rule. Also because it gives people the idea that the devs might remove other bevels lol
As I saw someone else comment once, if you don’t think bevels look good then add more non-flat detail (vs e.g. just making a fully flat bevel less wall)
I think the distinction there is that sometimes you can't really do that well. For example, in a hourse replica, windows and doors will basically always have those seams.
And if you're on a server that limits how many bricks you can use, you sometimes can't really build tons of non flat detail
Or that non flat detail just doesn't match the theme of the build
I guess. I just don’t buy that it’s not okay to have a couple of seams in a door/window lol. After all, IRL doors/windows usually have some detail and aren’t just a totally flat plane
I moreso mean that the presence of a door or window forces whatever wall it is on to no longer be smooth
Ah, yeah that’s valid
That's actually why I made this post
I'm making a scrap mechanic style hide and seek map
The thing is, a lot of spots in those maps at least partially rely on how the game's blocks, when at the same height, are seamless
It allows stuff to be hidden
But since only the smooth tile plate works like that, it means you need to use it for any such walls that you want a hidden thing in
Unless you want thousands of bricks per room just to make the walls a bit less easy to pick out where the spots are
if they make macroblocks for terrain i would be down for those being seamless
And then you have the issue of no quick and easy way to paste properties to every brick on an entity, and you need to spend a long time on every hiding spot with a complex wall to make it so it cannot be interacted with
Yeah bulk property paste would be really nice
Another thought is a gate or property that spreads it's properties to every other brick on an entity
Hmm... I think I'm going to make 2 feedback posts.
The first on bulk property pasting.
The second on a component that turns of grab interactions on an entity while maintaining its ability to block players from reaching through it. Well, and not creating the grab cursor.
