#Adjustable Flashlight Brightness

People making spooky maps, having the option to set the brightness of the flashlight for the map would be nice to have.
a player microchip component for it would be cool
Would also be nice if it got darker the closer you were to stuff
Source engine's flashlight does that I think, (because I guess it's a projected texture instead of a light?)
Currently the light can be just fine from a distance but too bright up close, which is realistic but inconvenient
ooooh... adding logic to the avatar?
player microchips are planned in addition to the regular microchips, iirc
Here to chime on this old thread. This could honestly just be a slider in the minigame settings and it'd be pretty much perfect.
Also I'm providing an example of how bad the flashlight looks as is.
It's far too intense, when something gets within 6 or so studs of you it turns bright like the sun.
