Whenever I boot up Etterna it gets stuck on a black screen with "not responding" for a couple minutes. The main menu eventually comes up and everything else works fine after that. I'm just wondering what causes the initial long load time.
PC specs:
Windows 10
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1650
16 gb ram

for some people it never happens and for some people they can wait for like 90 minutes before it opens

For me it always black screens when I open but usually only for a minute or two before loading. If I click during the black screen it does fo thr "not responding" thing so typically I don't do that and I just wait.
I thought it was because I have a lot of packs, but I've been told it was not that

all that is happening during the black screen is initializing the main game window and graphics
same thing that happens if you toggle fullscreen

I hate to post on here a year later, but this issue is driving me insane. I recently build a new computer and before it would load instantly and now I need to wait over 4 minutes before playing.
Windows 10
cpu 7800x3d
gpu 4070
32gb ram
I've updated my drivers on everything. I thought it was a ram issue possibly and still happening. I made sure shadowplay wasnt causing issues and fully turned it off but still. Gsync being turned off still doesnt work. Was there ever a fix for this?

nope you can randomly change everything from software to hardware until it works and also reboot a thousand times and change all the settings in the game
