#Across the board, pity systems are very much appreciated

In Heroes and Castles, you have to gamble for hero equipment.
In BHTD, you have to gamble for star upgrades (Even on the PC port).
In Block Fortress Empires, you have to gamble for xp on different equipment.
In Noblemen, you have to gamble... basically everything.
This is not a healthy trend, especially now that you guys are making the transition to PC games. Please, where you can, start working in pity systems or guaranteed results for the players' efforts. Both in older games and in ones yet to come. Block Fortress 2's global mods are a good start, but it would be great to see this become the new normal for your games.

For heroes and castles I’d like to keep the rng, but be able to select a preferred item and that preferred item will have a fair enough chance of appearing. For example, for a rune I’d like to select extra ranged damage as my preferred stat, and I’d have a higher chance of getting that

In heroes and castles I'd like a system to change something you don't like on a specific item. I 100% LOVE the diablo 3 system, where you can reroll for a feat you want to be different in exchange for materials and gold, so that if an item is great except for that specific feat, you can modify it until you get what you want. Imo much better than just trashing the item.
Also for aesthetics diablo 3 has Transmografication which is absolutely the best thing. Basically whenever you find new items, you also unlock the style and can apply it on any other item for the same type, in exchange for gold. Also you can dye your items for gold.

I don't really like pity systems in general since it feels like a cold comfort for something that is fundamentally a system aimed at making people spend more irl money. In paid games you can add the rng because it can be fun, but there should be systems that let you get directly what you need.

I dont like RNG in my games if it can be helped, especially when it comes to things that are crucial to ease of progression, like what I listed above. Without hero equipment, H&C is a LOT harder. Without star upgrades (and arguably leveling up), BHTD is A LOT harder.
We need more systems like the new BF2 Global Mod system.
