I do believe that most philosophical ideas are unrealistic and very weird to an extent. I think the main point of his golden rule is to remind people that putting yourself in their shoes might just benefit you and help you understand them. Why are most philosophical ideas unrealistic? Well Nietzsche for example believes that a human will be stronger when crossing all boundaries and not letting anybody get to them and control them right?
