fervent crow
#

like "vocal bass", that means every bass just about, every vocalized bass, and a bass on its own

#

"inward bass", means both a bass done inwards, and inward chest bass0-

#

dens allready started saying vocal uvula bass

narrow pike
#

whats inward sub bass

#

im a cyclone glazer too for sure

#

insane sound

fervent crow
#

mainly called it that to match with outward sub bass

#

and most people just call it subbass instead of sub liproll

narrow pike
#

this is my ranking

random tundra
random tundra
narrow pike
#

are we thinking of the same zombie bass?

#

cus the one I know sounds like ass imma keep it real

random tundra
#

lmaaooo

narrow pike
#

straight vomit

random tundra
#

what im thinking is like remix vcb

#

hes vcb is vocalized zombie bass

random tundra
# random tundra

stuff like middle tongue roll and tongue roll i just put together because it doenst make any difference for me lmao

#

same with slizzer and click roll

narrow pike
#

nah slizzer roll is way worse imo

#

super forceful oscillation

random tundra
#

I think I actually do slizzer instead of click roll

#

idk

#

for me its the same shi

narrow pike
#

with the flat tongue on the roof?

random tundra
#

i do it with the side of my tongue

narrow pike
#

that is not a slizzer roll my guy

#

standard side clickroll

random tundra
#

yeah so idk

visual lava
random tundra
#

when I learned it I just did tongue roll inwards

narrow pike
visual lava
random tundra
visual lava
#

Ikr it's my favorite bass by far

random tundra
#

but there is much better stuff

narrow pike
#

yea ig shield poly on its own kinda sucks but it gets boosted straight to s tier cus you can use it to vocalize pretty much anything

#

and it yields grimy ass textures

random tundra
#

even tho im not good at it

visual lava
narrow pike
visual lava
#

I can't do it though

visual lava
#
  • It's pretty unique sounding too
random tundra
#

but bro

#

its just so fcking good

visual lava
#

Rs

random tundra
#

its not the best A tier

#

but it is A tier

#

yk

narrow pike
#

also like im talking about unvocalized zombie here the way I also applied it to other sounds in that list

#

vocalized is a different story

narrow pike
#

miles better yet I think there are still way better sounds

visual lava
#

Unvocalized is still really good

random tundra
narrow pike
#

hell naw

random tundra
#

I actually wanted to make throat bass lower

#

but when its well done

#

its good af

random tundra
#

ive been trying to relax my chest bass more and more for months but I just dont learn it lmao

narrow pike
#

iirc zombie bass actually has the epiglottis vibrate

random tundra
#

yeah ik

narrow pike
#

just try to imitate vomiting ig

random tundra
#

lmaooo

#

then i get evil bass

#

what I was trying to do other day is actually making my evil bass vibrate more

#

if it really uses the epiglottis maybe I can get it this way

narrow pike
#

I mean you can try pushing your arytenoids high enough that they make the free standing epiglottis vibrate via contact or sum

#

or watch kindreons laryngoscopy vid he has it there

random tundra
#

I literally just opened it lmaoooo

#

epiglottis goes brrrrr

fervent crow
#

Also in the list its middle tongue basd as side tongue bass, and they sound SUPER different

visual lava
visual lava
fervent crow
#

It will hurt for you, dont beleive suse when he says it doesnt hes weird

visual lava
fervent crow
#

:D

#

Suse you should do the list :3

visual lava
#

Alr sure

#

I'll do it rn

fervent crow
#

Yay!

visual lava
#

@fervent crow

#

I honestly don't know most of these lol

fervent crow
#

Lol, man, loose throat bass? You yavnt heard big ben or marcus perez?

#

Also hollow lip bass, havnt listened to 2020-2022 remix?

#

Lol

fervent crow
random tundra
#

whats the difference between liquid bass and just inward bass with click roll?

fervent crow
#

Nothing really, i mean typically liquid bass is done with some slow tongue oscillation + inward

#

So inward OD, slizzer, azel roll, tongue flap

#

So maybe that

#

Something that really warps the sound

visual lava
visual lava
fervent crow
#

also yall, just updated the tierlist again, added 4 basses i forgot, so just give the rankings here0

#

i added double chest bass, inward evil bass, unsyncronized vibration, and falsetto vibration

fervent crow
#

i love being an artist and a teacher-

narrow pike
#

god dame

#

I cant draw for shi

fervent crow
#

Lol

#

Try to guess which tongue basses they are

fervent crow
#

now im tryna get double inward lol

random tundra
#

sounds like ur tightening so much ur throat

fervent crow
#

yeah, im told you really needa tighten it and it hurts by sub lol

fervent crow
#

Im either doing double or textured honestly

stuck stump
#

@fervent crow here?

fervent crow
#

yup

#

welcome to the land of the nerds lol

#

lemme look for a recording of throat bass

stuck stump
#

Just trying to get better

fervent crow
#

@random tundra when you can, could you get this man a recording of chest bass?

stuck stump
#

Right now I only know a couple type of bass

fervent crow
#

and possibly a type of vocal chest bass, probs do both normal and slizzer

stuck stump
#

The uvula one I said earlier, the one where you vibrate the tip of your tongue, lip bass and the one where you suck in from the side of your lip

fervent crow
fervent crow
stuck stump
#

It doesn’t sound as clean as like the lip roll I see in videos

#

It has like a slurping sound kinda (gross ik)

fervent crow
#

when you suck in from the side of your lip, is it just the lips or do you put your top teeth over your bottom lip

fervent crow
#

punchy liproll

#

but perhaps un refined

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

its honestly either this or a super unrefined static bass lol

stuck stump
#

Yeahhhhh that

fervent crow
#

yeah

#

its punchy liproll

stuck stump
#

It sounds kinda cool lol

fervent crow
#

you probs do bottom lip like most people, codfish tho does it but top lip

#

much harder technique honestly

#

less natural

fervent crow
#

do work on it

#

if you want to learn normal liproll, generally do the same thing, but have the tip of your tongue more in the middle of your mouth and away from your lips

stuck stump
#

I just wanna get that super clean chest/throat bass rn tho lmao

fervent crow
#

fair

stuck stump
#

I still don’t know which one I want to learn first

#

I assume they are connected in some ways right

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Like if I learn one it’ll be easier to learn the other

fervent crow
#

no

#

lol

stuck stump
#

💀

fervent crow
#

completely different muscles, different tightnesses

#

different ways you have to breath

#

its actually quite hard to switch between em when you are learning em

stuck stump
#

But it’s not like a uhm

#

How do I explain it

#

Like the bew bew frog sound 😭

#

It kinda sounds like

#

Uhm

#

Lip bass a little bit

stuck stump
#

I wanna be able to do that lmao

fervent crow
#

lol

#

throat bass is def harder of the two

#

actually, lemme pull out my handy dandy anatomy sheet to give you an idea of how different they are-

stuck stump
#

💀

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Rn when I try any type of bass with my throat I just sound like a 80 year old chain smoker

#

😭

fervent crow
#

lol

#

wheezy? tight? theres many things that can sound like

#

(also this whole recording is done with a mastered throat bass, i didnt use any other bass)

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

throat bass is also the gateway to getting vibration bass

stuck stump
#

I could try sending a voice recording in dms

#

And maybe you can tell what’s wrong with it?

fervent crow
#

make sure you dont use discords voice recordings

stuck stump
#

(Also I have no idea what type of bass I’m doing)

fervent crow
#

could also send it here, we are all nerds trying to help lol

stuck stump
#

I don’t think I can send a voice recording

fervent crow
#

and completely mute beatbox

#

espessially bass

stuck stump
#

Ig

fervent crow
#

it will completely cut out all usefull details

#

ye

#

this channel does have media enabled

#

hence why ive been sending voice clips lol

#

on your phone try to find and use a voice recording app

stuck stump
#

Idk why it sounds like that

fervent crow
#

chest bass

stuck stump
#

Oh

fervent crow
#

notice how it sounds like a growl?

stuck stump
#

All the tutorials say to clear my throat for throat bass

#

Maybe I just clear my throat weirdly

fervent crow
#

you can also clear your throat for chest bass

stuck stump
#

Ohhh

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

thats the only thing they have in common, they can be learned in VERY simular ways

#

cause the muscles are close together in a way

stuck stump
#

Mmm I see

fervent crow
#

tho, i do recomend learning chest bass

#

as throat bass sure you have vibration bass and all, but it requires alot of training to hit most of its variations

#

chest bass...

stuck stump
#

Based off the recording what do you think I’m doing wrong for the chest bass?

#

It sounds very like

#

Air flow sound

fervent crow
#

chest bass can turn into all of these

fervent crow
#

you need a super mastered one like vocodah to not have that sound

stuck stump
#

Monke bass 😭 🙏

fervent crow
#

its allways a SUPER airy sound, its why you dont hear it on stage like at all

fervent crow
stuck stump
fervent crow
#

no lol

fervent crow
fervent crow
#

yeaaah once you get into subharmonics... every sound is complicated lmao

#

even basic ones

stuck stump
#

Damn

fervent crow
#

cause you understand how they work-

stuck stump
#

I feel like I need to practice my chest bass more to be able to use it in my routines and stuff

#

Cause even if I’m not doing it wrong it doesn’t really sound good 😭 🙏

#

How long did it take you to learn throat bass?

#

And also can I hear your chest bass

fervent crow
#

took me 1 day to get throat bass, a month to control it, 2 years to master it

fervent crow
#

trust me, its hardly even there

#

i was weird, i learned throat bass way too quickly because ive been able to do constricted voice all of my life

#

and constricted voice is like throat bass just... without the bass

#

same muscles

#

but i never growled, so chest bass has been a pain to figure out

#

hence why im waiting for carlos to wake up to send a recording lol

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

hes good at all things chest bass

#

its like when you are constipated, or how steve-o from jackass speaks-

stuck stump
stuck stump
fervent crow
#

yours is honestly a good beginner one

stuck stump
#

Wait should my Adams apple be down or up for throat bass

fervent crow
#

well, lets compare it to chest bass for example

#

for throat bass, it raises by MAYBE a centimetre

#

for chest bass is raises much more

#

like sometimes 2 or 3 centimeters

stuck stump
#

Damn

fervent crow
#

i think sometimes more

#

actually for throat bass, its about the same height - VERY SLIGHTLY higher then when you just speak

stuck stump
#

Hmmmm

#

Throat bass is a very interesting sound to me lmao

#

I’ve never like

#

Made that type of movement

#

With my throat

#

I wanna learn it tho it sounds so cool

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Every time I try to do throat bass following the YouTube tutorials and stuff I just end up getting that chest bass sound lmao

fervent crow
#

would you beleive me if i said ive been trying to learn chest bass for almost 2 years now?

fervent crow
#

and aim to be way tighter and a bit lower

#

tighten where it feels like your voice is

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

when you do the method

fervent crow
fervent crow
#

alot of it was me flipping into zombie bass

stuck stump
#

I thought like the zombie growling sound was it

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

a vibration of the epiglottis

stuck stump
#

Can I hear it

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Its me doing like the uvula one I said from earlier

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Mmmm

stuck stump
# fervent crow

That kinda sounds the same as the chest bass recording you sent earlier lmao

#

Or actually nvm

#

It’s like a little different

fervent crow
#

Yeah, its much slower and slappier

#

Lol

#

And hurts

stuck stump
#

Cause I still don’t understand 😭

fervent crow
#

Well, red is chest bass/inward bass

#

On the arytenoids (they are not spacifically labled with text)

#

And throat bass is cyan

#

Being the vocal chords and false folds

#

Chest bass is higher up then throat bass on more sizable muscles

#

And because they are larger they have much larger and heavier oscillations

stuck stump
#

Other than clearing your throat is there another way to get the throat bass

#

Cause when I clear my throat I just get chest bass 😭

fervent crow
#

Eeh, lesrning constricted singing is one way

#

Uhm, coughing-

#

Idk theres not many good ones besides just usin the muscles-

#

Ayways i gotta go to sleep

#

Got school in the morn

stuck stump
#

Thanks for the help

wooden cedar
#

how do I go about learning vcb(id send a recording of my attempts but it is late and my family is sleeping so I can’t)
most of the time I end up doing throat bass instead?

stuck stump
#

😭

wooden cedar
#

I can do normal chest bass, there was a time I used just that and an equalizer for bass singing, but vcb just doesn’t click

#

some people have an easier time with different techniques and throat bass wasn’t too easy when I was first learning it, though that could be because my throat was very coarse/sore after doing it the first while

narrow pike
#

makes it sound kinda weird, but thats what you need

#

then you can just do them at the same time

#

later theyre practically gonna become one step

#

but in the beginning that helps

#

to hear how that sounds you can watch sxins tutorial

pine raft
#

How to do liproll??

#

And also the bass the wing does starting of his wildcard 25

stuck stump
#

First it’s gonna sound like a zipper sound or a very sharp sound

#

But as you get better you can like make your lips farther apart

#

And then the sound will be lower

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

And then it sounds very similar to throat bass

fervent crow
#

Hmm, might be tightening too much

#

To slizzer bass

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

Slizzer bass is the vocalized chest bas equivilent to throat bass

#

1st subharmonjc

stuck stump
#

Ahhh

pine raft
#

Ok

fervent crow
#

Yee

fervent crow
#

And using napoms tutorial for it

#

and key thing to remember, keepnthe tip of your tongue away from the corner of your lips

#

Or else you will get punch liproll like deadcow here-

pine raft
#

U mean codfish, I actually have a cursed lip roll with click roll, so yeah I am practicing

fervent crow
#

Like codfish too yeah, i also do punchy, but dead cow started with punchy

#

Got it before normal liproll

#

Alot of people do actually because they keep their tongue too close to the oscillation

random tundra
#

I got vocalized chest bass and slizzer bass this way

random tundra
#

and I suck at it

#

I only can do vibration bass well

#

throat bass is a little bit lower on the throat and its ALOT sharper

#

u can see how sharp it is by comparing it with slizzer bass, which is on the same octave/subharmonic

#

unvocalized chest bass I think its also the most easy to get from all of them

random tundra
#

I would say its the main thing u can do if ur struggling to get it

fervent crow
#

Yeah

#

Its one of the only methofs that chest bass doesnt share

random tundra
#

exactly

#

btw space, I got used to my throat bass sound and now I can see the difference between it and slizzer bass lol

#

there is a huge difference

fervent crow
#

Thats what ive been saaayin lmao

#

Just needed to train your ears lol

random tundra
#

haha fr

stuck stump
#

I feel like if I like talk/use my voice while doing the chest bass it doesn’t really sound like that

#

It still sounds very airy unlike yours

#

And it also just sounds like I’m using my voice on top of my chest bass instead of combining it

stuck stump
#

Slizzer is like slightly softer sound kinda

random tundra
#

its more round and wet

#

more softer than throat bass, which is sharp af

random tundra
#

but u can still hear it is airy, especially with unvocalized chest bass

#

what u should do to get throat bass instead of chest bass is really practice constricted singing, as space said earlier

#

it helps alot

stuck stump
#

How do I do it😭

random tundra
#

I think @fervent crow can explain it better than me lol

#

but u just really tight ur voice

#

something u can use for reference is khomeii style of throat singing

random tundra
random tundra
random tundra
#

should sound kinda nasal too

fervent crow
#

yeah, basically that lol, you might also find tutorials for it by searching up "jayton voice", its the alternate name

#

(named after jayton who allways sings in it)

stuck stump
#

Oh ok

stuck stump
#

I was trying to do the vocalized chest bass

#

But this sounds weird lol

#

Also I think I’m done for the day my throat is starting to hurt

random tundra
#

idk

#

the way ur constricting ur voice sounds a little like throat bass

#

@fervent crow how do I go from tooth lip roll to electro bass?

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Ik I said I was done but @random tundra is this throat bass

fervent crow
#

Not quite

#

Too soft

random tundra
random tundra
stuck stump
#

What is it then 😭

stuck stump
#

Or hear ig

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Oh lmao

stuck stump
#

Am I on the right track towards throat bass atleast lmao

wooden cedar
fervent crow
fervent crow
#

Too tight and too much pressure probs

#

Also aiming too low

#

Hest bass is roughly 3 centimeters above the false folds

stuck stump
#

Okay I should actually stop before I damage my vocal cords or whatever I’m using to make this sound 😭

fervent crow
#

sounds better, spacifically at the very end, but... idk, still so soft, when you next feel comfortable, do a recording of you doing that with your mouth open, closed, and playing with it and like pitches

wooden cedar
fervent crow
#

well, a good place to look for movement assistance is your adams apple, so kinda

#

notice how when you do throat bass your adams apple only slightly raises

fervent crow
#

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWaWGBR5YoQ just uploaded this and people might find it interesting here lol

Heyo, this is my first actual proper video for this channel! ofc I wish I did things better then i did, but allergies have been killin me. I'm a Canadian Bass nerd beatboxer, know almost every in and out of all basses, and have been doing tongue bass specifically for 12 years, so ofc i have plenty of variations.

wooden cedar
#

? it doesn’t feel like throat bass or vibration(could be Im not certain, doesnt feel the same as it at all) but it could be both(at the end Im not as low)

fervent crow
#

sounds closer to chest bass

fervent crow
#

but also at somepoint almost sounds like you switched into vibration cause it suddenly became multiple notes

#

at about 7 seconds lol

wooden cedar
#

yeah I noticed that too

#

though at that point it didn’t feel like vibration

random tundra
random tundra
wooden cedar
stuck stump
wooden cedar
stuck stump
#

The whole clip sounds the same to me

#

Wdym lmao

fervent crow
#

i can do it as softly as wings or as pressurized as inertias

wooden cedar
#

ah

stuck stump
#

It sounds so different

fervent crow
#

yeah

#

the bass in the begining of inertias reckless is vibration, and the bass in the first drop of wings 25 wildcard is vibration

#

just wings is super soft

stuck stump
#

Ohhh

random tundra
#

@fervent crow can u teach me unsyc throat bass?

fervent crow
#

i can try lol

stuck stump
fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Yes

stuck stump
random tundra
#

im sorry but I dont think thats gonna happen now

#

its 1am rn

stuck stump
#

Oh alright

fervent crow
#

with kinda a raised epiglottis actually because i was trying to learn crythix bass

random tundra
#

ofc it will not be the same thing as a freestyle

random tundra
fervent crow
#

lol

random tundra
#

tomorrow I just will try to get throat bass as high as I can

stuck stump
#

I don’t even know what a eppiglotis is

fervent crow
#

if it starts feeling like you are being gagged (and your tongue may raise with it), likely your epiglottis raising

random tundra
#

hm okok\

fervent crow
fervent crow
#

the orange and pink

random tundra
#

just need to download discord on my cellphone

random tundra
random tundra
stuck stump
#

The mic quality isn’t the best tho lmao

#

Phone mic?

random tundra
#

ye

#

random audio I had recorded on whatsapp lmao

#

gtg sleep rn

stuck stump
stuck stump
#

When I’m sucking in

#

Its like at the back of my throat

fervent crow
#

inward uvula bass

stuck stump
#

Ok ty

#

And then there’s another one where I’m doing that punchy lip roll or whatever it’s called but then my tongue is also vibrating and making like a clop sound

fervent crow
#

probs liproll + inward tongue roll

stuck stump
stuck stump
#

What type of bass does kaji use a lot

#

Cause it sounds very soft

#

And kinda airy

#

Lemme try to find a example

#

He uses it a bit more later too

fervent crow
#

The one he speaks with?

#

I think its judt chest bass + constricted singing, or a reallly gurgly thtoat bass lol

random tundra
random tundra
#

if u watch other videos of him doing the same beat its more noticeable

#

@fervent crow I just met a guy who does something similar to hardbass but with uvula

#

instead of harmonizing evil bass with tight chest bass he does it with tight uvula bass

#

and its crazy how sick its sounds

#

that tiny little thing makes such a crazy difference

#

how tf uvula makes it sounds so low

#

THE UVULA IS SO TINY

#

I swear it just dont make sense in my head

#

and its really noticeable that the uvula is in there

#

this shi is so crazy

fervent crow
random tundra
#

this shi is so sick

#

so crazy at the same time

#

wait i just sent the same audio lmao

fervent crow
#

Yeah its really reliant on dual projection, its also how you can do it outwards, hust way harder

random tundra
#

this high pitched texture

#

omfg

#

I have an eargasm every time I hear it

fervent crow
#

Doing chest bass and uvula bass is SO INSANLY HARD to do because the positions for both dont match up-

random tundra
#

u can hear it

fervent crow
random tundra
#

he said that hes doing it too

random tundra
fervent crow
#

Because uvula doesnt get high like that

random tundra
#

SO SICK holy shitr]

fervent crow
#

It sounds closer to... Hard bass + evil uvula maybe

random tundra
fervent crow
#

I know normal evil can hit notes like that easy

random tundra
#

so idk if its hardnass

#

he said that he does only evil bass, normal uvula bass and monke bass

#

and inward evil bass

#

and what he does is combine evil with uvula

fervent crow
#

Well, monke bass is judt a low subharmonic of falsetto vocal uvula bass

#

Like super low subharmonic

random tundra
#

maybe its that with evil

fervent crow
#

Maybe

random tundra
#

if its possible

#

because ITS SO LOW

fervent crow
#

Yeah, while high

random tundra
#

like how is the uvula making that

#

fr

random tundra
#

I swear I want this texture SO BAD

fervent crow
#

And monke bass kinda feels like doint falsetto with evil uvula, with not only it being low sub but also insanely hard

random tundra
#

I also sent this to subharmonikz

fervent crow
#

Issue is..

#

Evil monke bass exists

#

Which IS monke bass + evil bass

random tundra
#

he said "yeah its just uvula evil bass"

#

but I dont think so

#

sounds so different

random tundra
#

if he is doing that

#

holy shi

fervent crow
#

Theres too many notes for it to be just evil uvula

random tundra
#

because the uvula sound is very noticeable

#

even when high pitched

random tundra
random tundra
fervent crow
#

It sounds closer, but i wonder if that guy you showed is doing it on an even lower interval

#

A way lower subharmonic /interval difference then infurnapes evil monke bass

random tundra
#

would be possible to the evil bass itself be on a lower sub?

fervent crow
#

Im unsure, evil bass is so hard to vocalize i dont hear it enough

random tundra
#

yeah thats not vocalized

#

hes vocalized one sounds really different

#

and its really undeveloped

fervent crow
#

Not vocalized.. That makes a bit more sense..

random tundra
#

why?

fervent crow
#

Infurnapes is vocalized

#

But you notice how it sounds way less screechy

#

Less strained

random tundra
#

wdym?

fervent crow
#

The guybyou showed me, sounds WAY closer to metal screams

random tundra
#

fr lol

fervent crow
#

Almost a pig squeal in a way

#

Compared to infurnapes

random tundra
#

yeah

fervent crow
#

Which is the same technique

#

For the bassnitself..

#

That makes me wonder... What if it is a pig squeal

random tundra
#

I dont think so

fervent crow
#

Pig squeal + evil uvula?

#

Hmm

random tundra
#

isnt pig squeal some kind of false fold scream?

fervent crow
#

Theres just sometuing about it that makes me lean away

fervent crow
#

Or some metal scream

random tundra
#

I dont think so

fervent crow
#

Hmm, gtg

random tundra
#

maybe its just reallyyyy pushed

random tundra
#

he just sent me another audio

stuck stump
#

Ok now when I do the other stuff suddenly it doesn’t sound like throat bass 😭

random tundra
# stuck stump

maybe im just stupid but I think that for a second u got 2nd sub

random tundra
#

its too soft

#

like really really

#

buuut maybe is it

stuck stump
#

That came out wrong

#

Uhm

random tundra
random tundra
stuck stump
wooden cedar
random tundra
#

on like

#

sec 7

#

he gets into it

random tundra
#

shi it would be hard to explain in english

wooden cedar
fervent crow
# stuck stump What is that tho

So typically youve been doing slizzer bass, vocalized vhest bass on the 1st subharmonic, as in your chest bass is exactly 1 octave below the voice

#

Same as throst bass

#

2nd subharmonic, chest bass is at an octave and a perfect 5th below the voice

#

Thats typical vocalized chest bass

random tundra
#

ywah

fervent crow
#

So if say your voice is at D3, the chest bass in 2nd sub would be at G1 i beleuve it is? 7 semitones?

wooden cedar
# stuck stump What is that tho

2nd sub is an octave and a 5th below fundamental pitch, 1st sub is an octave
its the subharmonic series, it goes further than just two, theres 3rd, 4th, etc(different intervals, 3rd is 2 octaves I believe)
basically two frequencies(one coming from the vocalizing typically) hit each other in a small space and they subtract the frequencies and that is the resulting subharmonic if Im recalling correctly(might be outdated information i went down this rabbit hole on the subharmonic theory about 2 years ago and haven’t revisited it)

random tundra
#

YEAAAAH

#

im saying it bro

#

this guy is crazy

#

AND ITS UVULA

#

the highi pitch thing sounds so unreal

#

im lowkey practicing my hardbass like crazy after I met him

stuck stump
stuck stump
narrow pike
stuck stump
narrow pike
#

its the bass tomazacre was known for

stuck stump
#

Ohhhh

#

wtf I ain’t never heard of anything like this before

#

Whattt

narrow pike
#

theres other even crazier stuff you can do with it

#

but its a relatively uncommon bass

#

and probably one of the most dangerous ones

narrow pike
#

@fervent crow isnt evil bass just the arytenoids rattling using only themselves while chest bass has the corniculates rattling against epiglottis or slightly lower membranes? cus like im looking at kindreds vid again rn and he classifies it as that and i think even looked at research to determine that

#

and also shi just makes a lil more sense to me

#

cus like that also checks out with evil bass itself not having to be gollum while chest bass commonly is

#

for chest bass you really need to make a new contact, "joining" back and front elements, rather than just having 2 objects already next to each other oscillate

#

would also explain just why hard bass is so dangerous

stuck stump
narrow pike
# stuck stump Why is it dangerous

super pressurized + should what I said be true then its probably also just one of the biggest and most chaotic oscillations you can get in your larynx alone

#

if you want to understand a little more what I mean you can look at kindred harvests laryngoscopy and the chest bass and evil bass he does there and try to combine that in your head

#

he also does hard bass in the vid but you cant really see whats going on in the larynx

fervent crow
#

So wouldnt doubt evil bass is judt the arytenoids likely more just rattling against eachother

#

Espesh with how tight and pressurized it has to be

narrow pike
fervent crow
#

Ye

narrow pike
#

shi been taking ages

#

just need to to get more of his whale whistle in there and get it more consistent

#

straight up 11/10 difficulty sound

fervent crow
#

Lok

#

Lol

half shale
#

At this point I have genuinely no idea of what bass I'm making.

random tundra
#

its just how hardbass is pressurized that its really painful

random tundra
#

aaaand

#

going into vibration bass sometimes

random tundra
#

I just think its so crazy to the uvula making a hardbass sound because of how tiny that is

#

normally hardbass is evil + chest not evil + uvula like that guy is doing

narrow pike
random tundra
#

makes sense lol

#

but the uvula stills feels so much more vunerable

#

I think that if I try to do evil uvula bass my uvula is going to explode

narrow pike
#

i mean youll probably feel a distinct stretch induced pain in it before it would rip

random tundra
#

ye

stuck stump
#

💀

random tundra
fervent crow
#

Im still tryna figure it out

random tundra
#

just do high inward and really really breath in

fervent crow
#

Yeah-

#

Issue is my inward is still loose inward, not tight inward like its supposed to be

random tundra
#

mine is pretty loose too

#

not as yours

#

but its loose

#

just practice that u get it

fervent crow
#

No mine is litterally loose inward, not just a loose inward

#

Its a different variation of inward

#

Where you dont raise you epiglottis

#

Which i ddnt learn how to do because i learned it with throat bass-

random tundra
fervent crow
#

Lol

stuck stump
#

Why do I get a bit dizzy when I do my chest bass now

fervent crow
#

light headed

#

too much air going out compared to air going back in

stuck stump
#

how do I do evil bass and what does it sound like

random tundra
#

try to tight ur larynx

#

should feel very painful and sounds like shi

random tundra
#

the way I got my evil bass was trying to mimic that vomit sound

#

like that blerrghh

stuck stump
stuck stump
stuck stump
#

Cause I can only hold my chest bass for like 5 seconds before I run out of air

random tundra
random tundra
#

this is how I got

stuck stump
#

Lemme hear your evil bass

random tundra
#

ok ok

#

wait

#

I need to warm up to get it good

#

and even when I warm up it doesnt sounds too good lmao

stuck stump
#

Can you also do the thing that the guy in the recording was doing

random tundra
#

nope

stuck stump
#

Like the evil bass + uvula bass thing

#

Oh

random tundra
#

hes one is evil + tight uvula

#

that one is hard

stuck stump
#

Can you do hardness

#

Hardbass

random tundra
#

yes

#

a really messy one

#

but yes

stuck stump
random tundra
#

but when I get it right sounds good af

random tundra
stuck stump
stuck stump
random tundra
#

I think so

random tundra
#

@stuck stump here the chest bass is harmonized with evil more correctly

#

u can see that its way lower

#

there is a big undertone on it

random tundra
#

yeah

stuck stump
#

I just started beatbox like a month ago lmao

random tundra
#

cool

fervent crow
#

he does 4 basses throughout the whole vid

#

inward bass, high octave vibration bass, slizzer roll, and 808 kick

#

actually in the 2nd drop he does all of em

#

the high octave vibration bass being when he sings while sounding constipated-

#

the inward is the main bass there, the grimey one

#

the clicks or rattle he does is slizzer roll, and the subbass is 808 kick

stuck stump
stuck stump
fervent crow
#

slizzer bass at a certain point nasally sounds very close, so at that point easier to tell orally

stuck stump
random tundra
#

not nose

stuck stump
#

Oh ok

#

The vibration feels lower on my throat than my chest bass

random tundra
stuck stump
#

I think if it’s not throat then I’m atleast getting closer

stuck stump
random tundra
#

do it trought ur mouse

#

mouth*

#

do it with ur mouth open

stuck stump
stuck stump
random tundra
stuck stump
#

Oh

random tundra
random tundra
fervent crow
#

yeah still slizzer

stuck stump
#

I mean I guess it doesn’t really matter

#

If it sounds similar then it doesn’t really matter if it’s actually throat bass or slizzer bass

#

As long as I’m making that sound 😭

stuck stump
#

Also isn’t vibration bass harder than throat bass

#

Cause all the tutorials I see the prerequisite for vibration bass is throat bass 😭

#

They say like go lower in your throat bass until it starts to like crack

random tundra
random tundra
#

people are sleeping

random tundra
#

I just tried to bang my false folds with air while doing constricted voice

#

and it worked

#

really well

stuck stump
stuck stump
#

I wanna learn vibration bass ngl

#

Also seems very versatile

#

You can like make it sound so different depending on how you do it

random tundra
random tundra
stuck stump
fervent crow
stuck stump
fervent crow
#

inward bass

#

trying to get double inward

stuck stump
#

When I try to do inward bass I just get inward uvula bass 💀

fervent crow
#

your tongue is raised too high, and you are aiming too high

#

you wanna aim deep

#

litterally same place and muscle as your chest bass

stuck stump
#

But then I just make like a uhm

#

Weird sound

#

Not bass

#

And if I use my voice it sounds like the vocal fry

fervent crow
#

that sounds like a very basic inward, just need to tighten more

#

its in the right spot

#

either tighten and use more air, or use more air and loosen while keeping that position

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

idk how to explain- its just a skill you should have lol

#

only way to explain tightening it is "tightening it:

stuck stump
#

To tighten my voice

#

@fervent crow I managed to get this sound but I’m pretty sure this is just a inward vocal fry

fervent crow
#

it def is

#

dont tighten your voice

#

you tighten your arytenoids

#

do chest bass, keep that position, and hyperventilate in and out with it

stuck stump
#

Idk what that feels like tho I’ve never done it, atleast not intentionally so idk how to do it

fervent crow
#

well, learn chest bass before inward lol

#

dont do what i did

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

i screwed myself over

stuck stump
fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Uhmmmmm

#

I’m not even moving anything I’m just breathing in and out lmao

fervent crow
#

on the inward breaths you do wanna tighen more in the exact same spot as the chest bass

#

when you tighten it will make it harder to breath in

stuck stump
#

am I on the right track to vibration bass or am I just making weird noises 😭

fervent crow
#

Honestly, kinda hard to tell

#

You are rrally takig the hard route by skipping throat bass-

#

A necissary part of vibration bass

stuck stump
#

How to practice it

#

Cause I can do chest bass

#

And slizzer bass or whatever

#

But idk how to like transition to throat

#

Cause like idk what’s different in the feel yk

#

And I can’t really tell if I’m making progress cause I don’t even know the difference myself 😭

#

Like to me slizzer bass and throat sounds exactly the same

#

Oh nah google Gemini trippin 😭

#

Wtf is a codfish sound 😭

fervent crow
#

Dawg codfish DOES NOT sound like codfish???

fervent crow
#

Sorry

#

SLIZZER does not sound like codfish

#

Its late ok-

narrow pike
#

ye np

fervent crow
#

Oh yeah ik did you ever see my vid?

narrow pike
#

ye I seen it

fervent crow
narrow pike
#

good stuff man

fervent crow
#

Yaays

stuck stump
stuck stump
#

But I can’t just ping you every 2 seconds sooo I kinda just have to figure it out on my own

wooden cedar
# stuck stump How to practice it

I can get vibration through both chest and throat but when going through chest I kinda add more unvocalized chest(correct me if im wrong but that would be the clearing of the throat sound?) if that makes sense

stuck stump
#

I thought clearing your throat works for both chest and throat bass

wooden cedar
#

yes it does

#

but the growl sound that is unvocalized is what im referring to

#

actually is it unvocalized?

stuck stump
narrow pike
fervent crow
stuck stump
#

What does that sound like

fervent crow
#

You have to do the chest bass a 5th/octave and a 5th higher then your voice rather than an octave and a 5th lower

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

So it creates a true subharmonic, which causes the airmolicules to create a 3rd pitch from them bashing into eachother

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Can you send a example

fervent crow
#

Lemme grab dens recording cause hes learning it rn

stuck stump
#

Like

#

The den?

#

Like the one from Canada

narrow pike
#

ye

stuck stump
#

The one that got 4th or something like that in the gbb25 wildcards

narrow pike
#

ye

stuck stump
#

Ohhhh

#

Is it really hard then if he is learning it

fervent crow
fervent crow
fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Woahhh

#

Cool

#

Is it just me or does it kinda sound like the hardbass 😭

fervent crow
#

Thats just you

stuck stump
#

Oh

fervent crow
#

Sounds nowhere close to hard bass

#

Polar opposites

stuck stump
#

💀

fervent crow
#

Idk what hard bass youve heard-

stuck stump
#

This one

#

💀

#

I swear it’s kinda similar

#

Atleast to me

fervent crow
fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Electric been typing for the past like 5 mins

wooden cedar
stuck stump
#

Ok

fervent crow
#

Espesh cause they are both two polar opposite techniques

wooden cedar
fervent crow
#

It apparently doesnt

#

You dont get the subharmonic affect, you get the harmonies, but you dont get the air molicules creating a 3rd pitch

stuck stump
#

Wait is like the roles that are like < 1 year or 1-3 years referring to how long you’ve been beatboxing or how long you’ve been in this server

narrow pike
fervent crow
#

You can get the same effect with other basses too by being a 5th above the voice

stuck stump
fervent crow
#

Its what we call vibration state chest bass

#

Or sorry

#

Vibration state bass

stuck stump
#

Ones with the uhm

#

Throat parts

#

Or like

#

Any other bass

wooden cedar
fervent crow
#

Becauze it uses the same aspect as vibration bass, as in the throat bass is a 5th above the voice

fervent crow
stuck stump
#

Wait what’s the difference between vibration and throat bass anatomically wise

narrow pike
stuck stump
#

I don’t have the anatomy chart saved 😭

fervent crow
#

You only hear it on vibration state sounds, otherwise all vocalized sounds would be atleast triphoniv

#

Vibration chest bass there only has 2 muscle vibrations i beleive

#

Yet 3 pitches

#

Its a super interesting.phenominon you get with pianos when you play two notes a 5th appart from eachother

#

Maybe its not an octave and a 5th higher and is just a 5th...

fervent crow
#

No, i struggle with chest bass

#

And cant do evil bass

stuck stump
#

Oh

wooden cedar
stuck stump
#

What about Carlos he’s good with chest bass right

narrow pike
#

yea he does hard bass

fervent crow
#

Cause the chest bass is a 5th higher then the voice, thwn the vibration of the airmolicules are the correct pitch to make it go 2nd sub

#

Same for vibration bass, where the throat bass is a 5th higher then the voice, and the ayrepiglottic folds complete it by being lower then the voice creating a 2nd subharmonic

#

Or its truely vibratiom poly chest where its the same concept but with poly chest, its become very muddy over time cause its still a new sound

#

Im just tryna keep up
