#Silencio's journey to liproll (hopefully)

pls help with this
That sounds like some promising start,
if you hold the lip position and try to inhale without letting your lips fully apart (but not fully holding together), you might get an inward liproll going
also was there a tounge position
yes, it's awkward to explain though and varies depending on which liproll variation you're going for
for most it's almost resting position on the bottom of the mouth, but aiming the tip of your tongue towards the area of your lips that's going to roll
whats the tounge position for an inward liproll
i might go for the inward liproll thats why
same as what I jus described
resting at bottom of mouth, tip aimed towards the point where the liproll vibration spot is
still getting a zipper...
maybe theres a thing to do before breathing in?
I know you want an inward liproll, personally I built my inward liproll off of the basic liproll, so if you think you want to go down that path I can offer some help
ah, i see.
yeah, lets do the basic liproll first.
where do i need to go from here?
I would say the two base components of basic liproll are:
- creating space in your mouth for resonance, you do this my dropping your jaw straight down, or down and to the opposite side you want to do the liproll on (you can move your jaw as far as it can go, can get a little sore), it also gives space for your lips to vibrate.
- lip position, in the corner you want to produce the liproll from, your lips are stretched, you can only stretch so much by pulling the opposite corner away, hence why the frown gives the sound more definition
Then you have the active component which is:
- creating suction with your tongue, your tongue starts in the corner that you want to produce the liproll from, then you pull it back and the air should flow through the weakest point (the weakest point should be where you want to make the liproll)
If anyone has any problem with what I'm saying pls correct me btw, just going off of personal experience, started learning the sound 2 months ago
But yeah once you have the basic liproll down, the inward liproll is basically just breathing in air, with the mouth position of the end of the basic liproll
That's why personally I would learn basic liproll first, though if you really wanna go for the inward liproll absolutely go for it, it's just that I won't be able to help, there's definitely others here that can though
little improvement i think
cant seem to expand on it much, am i missing something?
