Since I'm now obsessed with mics I will host mic polls for fun, and it will be helpful for people who want to buy mics.

MIC BATTLES 1
XM8500 (20$) VS MACKIE EM-89D(50$)

Mackie in my opinion is the better option. just $30 more dollars and you can definitely hear that bright sound difference in the 2 mics. XM is good if $20 is all you can spare but going with the mackie will definitely not be a waste by any means!!

its good as well yes

#

i think its has a more cone sound to it on the low end though. thats just my opionion, im a more power beatboxer so the low end is super important on a mic for me

Alright, based on my research so far, I think the sm58 is the best option if you want to go for a powerful sound at this price point. But to be honest, in this price range, you can make any of these mics sound powerful with eq, but the sm58 has more eq room than any other mic in this price range. And from what I've seen so far, it gives a good balance of clarity and power in beatboxing compared to other mics (The d5 being kind of airy because of the high end and the sennheiser being too dynamic to give powerful kicks and other sounds in the low end spectrum)

Especially if you're more of a technical beatboxer
