Sawad#5671 has been warned

Reason: Posted a link

oh yes indicator explained his bass in a tutorial he calls it poly subbass and it's a variation of the subharmonic register (chest voice + outward vocal fry). I can't put the tutorial link here but just search indicator tutorial on youtube and you'll find it. also look up Alkmi Beats, he's mastered the sound too and explains it in multiple videos

#

disclaimer: it takes forever to build the correct ratio for the subharmonic register. I've been at it for a few months and I still lose the balance too easily though it is stronger now. my friend Dan is a bass singer with a naturally low voice and perfected it faster than me

but by him "creating" that bass he named it alien bass

lol I'm sure there's a dozen other names for it, naming sounds is one of the things beatboxers are all awful at so I've just taken to explaining what sound I'm talking about and where I've seen it used. and of course glad I could help!

even Sawad told you that its called a different name, in beatboxing that sound is referred to Subharmonic bass, you can call it alien bass or ass bass its gonna be considered as subharmonics forever

#

you could argue with me without any disrespect but people like you are disgrace to a community, get lost

yall you're both right, the most used name is subharmonic bass but since beatboxers collectively suck at consistently naming sounds the same thing, different ppl might hear it called different things. jester let's try to use the most common name for each sound in this case subharmonic bass so ppl don't get confused but bng let's understand bbxers have lots of names for the same thing so the best we can do is ask for clarification on what they're talking about anytime you see the wrong name or a name you've never seen before. let's not antagonize each other over a simple failure to name things properly, just apologize and let's keep helping each other learn and grow into better beatboxers

it is a poly subharmonic

#

with 2 subharmonic notes

#

from the nose

#

and the throat

I think the best I've heard it described AND demonstrated is subharmonic first (50:50 ratio of chest voice NOT chest bass) and outward vocal fry, this balance is extremely hard and fragile so practice making it strong then second use jayton's nasal voice (like from mad twinz routine say my name) and that will produce the two subharmonic notes, one nasopharyngeal (nasal/from the nose) and the other laryngeal (from the throat/the original subharmonic tone using vocal folds). AFAIK it's the beat wave from the fry vibration in your superhyoid cartilage that gives both tones a crunchy feel

imma be honest Poly Subharmonic is basically Alien Bass

#

there a reason many people use shorter names for sounds

#

Alien bass would catch my eyes more than Poly Subharmonic

#

like Poly Subharmonic does make sense but Alien bass makes more sense in terms of like eye catching stuff

#

Other than that i'm gonna stop talking now

How to do "Alien Base" sit in your room and just practice till you get the sound. How I learnt it was, This might sound wired but I vibrated my soffacus with some air pulled in and with the Adams Apple down but it's something like that.

you vibrated your esophagus? lmao how? I think you mean uvula? like with vocal bass or starsky bass. bringing your adam's apple down is hollowing your throat. afaik hollowing vocal/starsky bass gives you vibration bass but like the chest-resonating variant of vibration bass. remix calls it vocalized chest bass. it's similar but rougher and less clean than poly sub (louder and more powerful though)
