if u are nervous that is good because there is no way around it, just need to force yourself out of that zone.
Bruh you are a beatboxer the worst case scenario you just free style and people still love it. Go at it!
Nervous is adrenaline, and adrenaline is like superman type sht, it's just getting you stronger.
I recommend you read in "Tips for battling" forum from Dr. floor. I made a post on things you could do when performing on stage or in general trust me it's really good tips if you just go check it out
Unless you want me to repost it here
Post it I can't find it
Nvm found it but can't link it here it disappear automatically
okay i'll just repost it here
Beginner - Intermediate tips:
1 - Pretend about being the crowd (like what do you think they would want - depending on what type of people it is)
2 - Try you best to combat your nervousness if that a problem your having with you just need to enjoy what you do
3 - If your not confident (pretend to be confident) sometimes you could use silence to add a {dramatic effect} and presences to your words
4 - If your nervous just speak a little slower than usual and try to warm up before you perform (optional)
5 - You as a person will have a skill set on stage at looking at the audience and dictate when you know the time is right the crowd you make a drop (knockout blow) to the crowd
Intermediate - Advanced tips:
6 - Same thing as #3 use silence don't constantly keep making beats, pause for a few beats and drop back into beatboxing (optional)
7 - DON'T ever look to eager because that would show nothing for your hours of practice just stay on your A Game
8 - Although you have to be acting like this is a regular thing you have to show just show your love for what you do and this will reflect on your crowds (you also have to keep it professional) (this is NOT contradictory to 7)
9 - Lastly you need to finish this off with a "bang" if you want people to like your stuff finish off with some real bangers and leaving the crowd to asking for more
@silver sapphire hopefully you read this carefully do you can understand how to perform when or stage/public and take it to heart
if you could show me your style or just your main bass to use then i could help a bit
just say it
THE SHOW WENT REALLY GOOD!!
Thanks to everyone for the advices. Especially @timid sapphire .
My crowd at school cheered me on, got that boost of confidence!!
Well damn I didn't think that would actually help that much
guess it worked out eh?
mhmm, totally!
Yo @silver sapphire did you end up performing? If so, how’d it go man?
