Hey everyone, just got a mic set up and I want to know which app you use for all your EQ and adjustments?

I just want to be able to sound clear and great while beatboxing for my friends on discord etc,

the only app i know you could use is FL Studio

you don't really need it if your not taking beatbox seriously and doing it for fun

#

but if you want to take it seriously I recommend getting an audio interface

#

FL Studio as an "app" is way too complicated for new people who use it

#

audio interface can help

#

loop stations can do that too but it more costly than an audio interface

Gotcha, maybe more of the lines of how come my mic is so blasted, does it have to do with mic sensitivity and input levels? Do I have to adjust them through discord or how can I make it so It's not so overblown and not having to be so far away from the mic.

Firstly if your mic is blasting every time your talking it might be the sensitivity or the mic product itself because some microphone can still blast even if it wasn't the mic sensitivity.

Secondly I recommend making sure what you brought is a Dynamic Mic or a hybrid because Dynamics are made to be up close to your mouth while condenser is not because it's a studio recording mic.

Lastly If ppl don't say anything about your mic being terrible don't edit discord settings. If they do create a problem and ppl say it i recommend try to lower your db by -70 db or -65 db on input sensitivity on discord

This is just from what I know so this isn't a definitive answer

@smoky mirage I appreciate the follow up! I just feel like my sound comes out totally different when using a regular voice through discord, I get it sounding really good in voicemeter or audacity but I can't transfer it to discord since my voice seems to be more muffled vs other programs.

My route is, Mic -- Audio interface -- Voice meeter --- Ableton (Gate, Eq, saturator) --- Voice meeter --- Discord

Discord setting, Sensitivity lowest, everything turned off (Auto gain, echo cancellation, etc..) and Noise Supression off.
