suggested a bunch of times but the reason you stated does not make it necessary. as an oral surgeon, you don’t need knowledge of being a trainer if you want to become a staff assistant because you’ll be prepared for that either way during your trial

disagree. in v2 it was a MESS. os arent needed in trainings. the trainers can just answer pts and stuff. when oral surgeons would answer pts, most of the time they would say wrong and incorrect information. it took a lot of time to pick oral surgeons aswell. for your trial for sa, you will need to know how to assist trainings, so overall i disagree. c:

This was a mess! It added on to the host/co-hosts jobs, to pick the OS. On top, of organizing a whole training. And sorting out trainers. And during the trial they talk about trainings, I assume. So overall I disagree!

Although I think it was very useful as an MR, I agree with everyone disagreeing. When it was implemented, it helped because we had MANY more trainees show up to trainings than we do now. It would be more work now with how trainings have evolved. I think having the OS working with MRs did have benefits, but not in a training sense anymore. Maybe in the future something else will be implemented that creat the same sense of community and values having OS helpers did

It’s so unnecessary and extends training time way longer than it needs to be. It’s so much more that the hosts/trainers need to deal with and keep track of and overall it just is unprofessional and messy. As someone who’s trained with OS supervisors and without it’s so much easier without!

#

Also it turns into such a big argument about who gets selected, unnecessary drama!

cute but I disagree. while it could be fun for OS, MRs already have the knowledge and skills to handle training on their own!
