I mean yeah she did say itā€™ll be In both forms, but regardless black history month is still getting recognized in one of them and in the second message she said that it was moved to the newsletter. Yeah I get it wasnā€™t posted on March 1st I believe but it is still getting recognized

PR chooses where the recognition takes place, I donā€™t see how itā€™s a big issue that it is in the newsletter

Softleys is also a leadership member, if she wasnā€™t and was a mr/hr for example it wouldnā€™t of been sent

there was more attention brought to st patricks day than bhm and based on the conversation with chrissy i was hoping for a bit more than that. i also dont mean offense to the newsletter team, but the brief description recognizing the most common black influentials was very low standardized based off what i was expecting after the discussion with chrissy in viviā€™s suggestion months prior

I do understand why u guys are annoyed or confused on why it isnā€™t in public announcements but we might just have to wait for someone in PR to look at it. For example I see other groups have certain Chanel for awareness announcements and that would be great for Teethyz to announce holidays, and other things going on!

Now that we have the newsletter, we typically put important holidays / topics within the newsletter so itā€™s all in one place. HOWEVER, why we stopped putting them in public announcements, I have no idea, as I wasnā€™t in the PR department when they stopped doing that. Normally people from our community had the opportunity to DM someone from the PR department to have these things announced, but even Iā€™m not clear on what the policy is now. Personally, I donā€™t have a clear side on what I would prefer because on one hand, I do believe itā€™s important for these issues / holidays to be brought up in order to educate people on them, while on the other hand there are so many different holidays that it would be difficult to include them all without flooding the channel or for us to write them all / keep up with them. Iā€™m glad we have a way for people to be educated on these topics through the newsletter, but I 100% understand that itā€™s not as clear for everybody to view. OVERALL, I would definitely bring this up with the PR team and see what they think! šŸ¤

Iā€™d also like to add that there are many other things not being announced in public announcements that are put into the newsletter instead, but there are also many other thag a such as lgbtq pride month in June that I bet will not be announced properly either. I understand that yall are annoyed or some might be offended unsure but I think to resolve all of this there needs to be a channel made to announce awareness messages for ALL days and months and other things that are going on in the world
