I'm not super qualified to answer this but I think it's a yes and no- yes you can negotiate your pay although they may have only a certain amount to offer, and no you can't negotiate just based on the location adjustment. Afaik large companies have policies for that sort of thing, it's dumb. Take what I say with a grain of salt tho
That's a tough one. Companies don't really get any value out of internships so are unlikely to negotiate with you. You can definitely ask/point this out, maybe your recruiter/manager will be sympathetic and be able to do something, but unlikely.
One option kinda unethical depending on who you ask just use a vpn with a kill switch say you moved to your aunts house in the higher paying state
i told her I would be at school most of the internship that’s the issue.
She said since the majority of the internship would be in the lesser paying state it’s that rate
