#3 YOE senior in college, about to graduate
51 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Alright, First thing i would do is take a peep at the pinned
Second, Make it 1 page
Third pick a better template
it is one page, should I make it shorter? what should I do to make it shorter
that does not look like one page lol
it is one long page yea
hmm i'll try to reduce the font
should I remove some info?
i mean it looks like on all your open source projects can just be a singular sentence
whats the page size i should go for
a4 piece of paper as it's often just printed out
You're in college still. What are you looking for?
mid level or senior level role in US
I think I can do a senior level role, in my current role I‘m assigning tasks to people also taking tasks from other seniors
I need to take communications course online before that too
You have 3 YOE. You won't get a senior role.
You've also never worked in and don't currently live in the US so it seems like making that jump would be difficult regardless of level.
That being said, trying is worthwhile.
i live in the US and my college degree is from a decent US uni
Ah, that helps your odds then.
Generally, 6 YOE is the minimum these days.
Oh, not really.
It's too dense especially for you to be graduating now.
What size font is that?
10 and 12
can you elaborate?
It's hard to read.
ohk formatting problems?
Have you been working full time in those contractor roles?
Yes, formatting problems, but also the sentences under the positions are quite long.
do you think i can condense them even more, i ALSO omitted some info that I did at work because it was taking too much space
For reference here's a job from my resume.
I think a 4 line bullet necessarily becomes hard to read. Mine are long but it's the white space that makes it interpretable, and even these are what I'd generally say is too long.
thank you so much for your feedback, i appreciate it I will do this next
