Current status and what I'm doing:
I am a December 2024 new grad looking for entry-level software engineer positions and have been actively applying since the beginning of this year. I have a return offer from Defense but don't want to work there. I will update at the end of every week probably. I have been built a schedule of 4 hours of leetcode, 1 hour practice behavioral, then 2 hours building project / schoolwork. I want to create a project that utilizes AWS or anything on the cloud, I have been getting a lot of questions about if I have any experience on AWS. I have only taken a course on it. LMK if anyone has any recommendations :)
Metrics:
Currently have applied to 253 companies (I will start tracking job applications instead soon). I usually apply to the jobs that are added the new grad github everyday.
Currently a Codepath mentor. Attended their career fair. I also plan on going to SHPE, so if anyone has any advice on that lmk
Leetcode Questions:
174, Finished the grind 75 and neetcode 150 , but now reviewing the neetcode 150 to make sure I have a solid understanding/could explain my thought process in a technical interview. Started in sometime in the summer.
Non-Auto OAs':
Gecko Robotics, Anheuser Busch, CTC
Interviews:
Accenture - Rejected after behavioral (Focused so much on leetcode that I forgot to prep my STAR answers, they asked me like 10 scenarios)
ICF - Rejected after Phone (they filled the position internally, I had interview set up)
General Dynamics - Rejected after Phone
Infor- In progress
Anhueser Busch - In Progress
