Regrettably, no - I'm thinking of participating in one or more of these now, while I apply for jobs. Do you think it'd make a significant difference?

i mean u said it urself, if ur needing “filler” items then u have room to add more things that would be of use.

I cant measure “significance” but having items like that will give you more talking points, make u a more well-rounded candidate, potentially give u items to relate to interviewers/recruiters with (oh they were in X club? me too! thats cool), ability to network with others during undergrad and postgrad, and generally more relevant handson experience

besides, ur paying however much to go to school. Doesnt make a ton of sense to not try and integrate with some of the different activities and clubs that the school has to offer, especially when a lot of them tend to be free anyway
