Why do you want another internship?

#

Why not a full time job?

#

For the publication pending did you get accepted by a journal or no?

Currently you are a PhD student?

#

I see you have another thread posted. I’ll close that one and keep this one active.

#

I ask if you’re a student because I don’t see it on your resume.

It’s starting in the fall…. potentially. I’ve gotten into a place but I’m not that happy with it so I might try again applying for PhD’s again next year after I’ve published more and done more networking. So I’m applying to both some full time jobs and some internships rn. For those internships that stipulate they are looking for PhD students I’m using this resume instead

#

Everything else is the same

#

So im applying to both fulltime jobs running through the year ( using my non -phd resume) and summer internships(using my phd resume)

#

sorry if that was a lil confusing

#

Oops didnt anonymise

#

oh well

#

I was about to say, your authors in your publications aren’t fully anonymous.

carmine dew
#

yeah ik

#

I've never been to concerned about anonymization

#

Fair enough. It’s not a rule but a suggestion.

#

If this is a resume and not a CV my goal would be to get it to one page.

#

I’ll be moving forward with the thought of including the PhD.

carmine dew
#

Noted. Allot of the places I'm applying to ask for resume/CV so I'm opting to give the longer version where I can.

Makes sense. This is just for my suggestions.

#

thanks

#

I get the stats and math section since positions will explicitly call for that knowledge.

#

I would keep the publications. I assume you’re going for some research position.

carmine dew
#

Yes mostly

#

I am hopping to at least have those papers on arxiv soon

#

and published by next fall

charred yarrow
#

The PhD would help if you’re gunning for research.

carmine dew
#

Yeah I will for sure do one. I'm just not sure of wether to go to the place I got into this year or try applying again next year with better publication history & networking

charred yarrow
#

I’m iffy on the stats and maths section in skills. It seems redundant.

carmine dew
#

I see that

Bringing this down to a single page should be a goal.

carmine dew
#

I have this version for 1 page. But fitting in pulications is tricky

#

Most professors/ industrial researchers CV's are like 5+ pages long w all their publications

#

How about removing GPA?

That is painful lol. But you're right including the publications is more important than telling people I got good grades. I could put it on the same line as the degree
