#How valuable is salesforce experience?

Emphasize Systems Integration, Web Services and APIs and it won't matter as much.
Salesforce is a niche but the act of connecting and communicating B2B will always exist
I see a good amount of salesforce positions and mentioned in job requirements
so probably highly valuable for those
Personally I don't think it's worth learning during your undergrad
If you focus on your studies and maximizing the opportunities you have in undergrad which you won't have when it's over, that's better in my book
You can learn Salesforce any time in your life
i would be wasting 16hr/w on that
that I can use to study and get good grades
thanks for your thoughts all
what do you mean by opportunities in undergrad?
Lots of things. Hackathons, working at companies / startups connected through or advertising at your uni, working on CS research or implementing research in software packages / libraries, etc
Uni alumni have industry connections, your classmates can be the best network you'll have in your career most likely, your classes may teach you things that others who don't have a degree won't learn
To not take part in those to learn Salesforce dev that anyone can learn with an online course, not worth it to me.
