Just gut reaction — bullets are long in your vanguard experience
I think you can remove the details about your dynamodb experience (the stuff in the parentheses)
I’d also say you could either remove or drastically pare down the Projects section so it fits on one page
I don't even think they need to do that
So many bullets end with one word on a new line, just shorten those slightly and things will tighten up to 1 page
By my count you can get rid of ~5 words and get 4 extra lines of space
Do you think coursework is needed on a resume at this point? Another 2 lines
Nope
Unless you're like, a phd who took a hyper specific class that's directly applicable
They'll know what CS classes are
i just make the updates (there are some big changes)
its cramped now
would consider dropping the project and just focus on the experience
the first bullet in experience is kinda vague.. u should consider replacing it with what exactly u did that contributed to 40% of whatever
“addressed 13 key issues” same thing, vague statement that helps nobody
what benefits did modernizing the platform have
“Developed a Lambda application using Java and AWS SDK to ….? for fund transfer adjustments, resulting in ….”
“Led the development of an app that allows enabling of self managed account transactions, using SQS and SNS, leading to … from initial discussions to production “
idek whats meant by data integrity.. what data
i would make the JEST item its own bullet point
ur missing the word “using” in first bullet of parabeac
2nd bullet in parabeac is talking about 2 different things and doesnt make@much sense together
how did he measure development rate in 3rd bullet
Very helpful and detailed feedback. Give me some hours to fix this. Ty KJ
KJ is great, listen to her
are you using a standard page size? that looks REALLY small
understand the cutting off the top to hide contact info, but it just seems... narrow, like not full letter page size
or is the font size large?
Its full standard page size, yes.
Although i may increase the font size more to fit the whole page. I def dont want to leave too much white space at the bottom
so just as a general recommendation, keep total number of bullets below 16 for experience, so you can add a couple more
you're at 9 now, which is actually below the minimum recommended of 10
Never heard of that, thats cool. Wow 10 is min
errr, inclusive, so 10-16
