#Best way to approach a startup company for a job

My tech stack aligns really well with many startup companies I find on Wellfound and I like the products they make. I'm a new grad so I'm looking for posts with <2 years of experience.

I follow their application process (some ask for a self-intro video). But is there more I could do to increase my chances? Like reaching out to the founders on LinkedIn? I can't tell if that's overdoing it.

My question is how can I go beyond the application submission to show my interest?

have useful questions and feedback about the product if it’s free, maybe

#

lots of people on Twitter and etc say it works but cold outreach on LinkedIn probably doesn’t work as well in reality

#

founders are busy and the ceo and cto are not checking their LinkedIn often

i agree it will be hit or miss but i dont think its "over doing it"

an email is fine but LinkedIn almost feels like overdoing it

#

maybe I’m just shy

im just a very "i go after what i want" person

#

but it is a spectrum

#

no right or wrong answer really
