you got plenty to show with all your exp

but they dont look as near as complex as your work stuff
Exp
Skills
Projects
Education
?
maybe like exp projects skills education or exp projects education skills
Check the pinned post and the template Azote suggested.
You could also proof-read the CV. For example there is a missing space between Kubernetes and Azure in the skill list, there are two different ways of writing Spring Boot.
Your work history is a bit unclear. So you got your bachelors, then had three jobs or projects, 1y, 6m, 6m. Then you started your masters, had an internship during masters, graduated, and took a job in June. Is it so?
Is this the one where you do reports in Tableau/BIRT? I'm asking because 2 months is still onboarding. Do you have info about if you would have different tasks after onboarding?
For the jobs between degrees: why are these short? Was it freelancing/project work?
yes
Is this the one where you do reports in Tableau/BIRT? I'm asking because 2 months is still onboarding. Do you have info about if you would have different tasks after onboarding?
yes , things are mismanaged. its shitty . there was no onboarding . they just gave me work laptop and credentials .
and took my immigration docs for verification , then ofc gave it back to me
there was no background check also
nothing
its bs of a company tbh , now i overheard the ceo yesterday saying on the phone to his other vp "why would i need him(me)" . also they used to keep telling me in the first 2 months "that's what you were hired for" (like initially they wanted me to build an entire big ass billing system bymyself) then that changed and then they outsourced this shit to MongoDB (the company) they will do the DB and the entire backend and give a sample app . post that idk what i'll do there . so this is a process rn we waiting on the proposal from them so until then they gave me this random ass tasks on tableau and BIRT since "i was free and didn't have work" .things are not looking good here for me and i am scared and anxious @spring hill
Ok, this sounds almost exactly like the experience I've had, except for the fact that your company finally realized their stupidity and outsourced it.
Can I ask what kind of company it is and what industry they're in?
its between a startup and a mid size firm . flow of money is there . its bootstrapped . owner puts in his own money. been around 25-30 years in us and sea(2 countries). but there are just 10-13 employess in usa
as SEA is cheap labor
but the quality of product is garbage filled with tons of issues with incompetent people . owner just pressurizes people to fix things as he doesn’t want to lose out on clients
even if they outsource that shit , it has to built upon . can’t be deployed directly . they don’t realise that mongo is a db company not a contracting company smh
I can definitely relate to your frustrations. I've been in that situation in this job, just much worse.
Plus, I'm more surprised mongo would actually agree to something like this.
i am damn sure the owner is gonna get played
mongo can help you make the db perfectly not the entire thing , those sales people are smart in luring people
Exactly. This is the classic case of incompetent people thinking they know best how to manage a project they really know nothing about.
its the most mismanaged bs firm i have ever seen
You haven't seen mine then😂
i am on F1 opt (international student) so i can’t even leave without anything lined up
and the market is bs
getting résumé rejected everywhere mostly
Same
oh fr?
I started looking at the wrong time. Just two months before the market went to shit
Been searching ever since
when did you graduate
Jan 2021
oh damn
Took me 1 year to find this shithole job
but at that time the market was booming right?
It was. I was getting many interviews
2021 mid till 2022 mid it was golden
It was the prime of the industry. Huge growth due to covid
yea
Sadly that momentum was unsustainable, and what goes up must come down, and not only did it come down, it crashed
It's funny because professionals would tell you that once you break into the industry with your first job, subsequent ones become easier to get.
Guess they were talking when the market doesn't go to shit because I never thought finding my next gig would be nearly impossible
Anyway man, I don't think I have to tell you what you already probably know and heard million times, but keep at it.
I'd also suggest putting your experience into ChatGPT and see what it spits out for phrasing your bullets in different ways. You can play around with that to see what fits.
