#What kind of questions can I expect in an "HR Managerial Interview"?

HR questions are usually:

Tell me about a time you had a disagreement with a boss.

Tell me why
you want this role.

If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who and why?

Tell me about a time you failed on a task.

#

Most times they’re behavioral questions trying to see if you work well with others and that

I see, how should I interpret them asking me to review my resume?

#

Do you think they might ask me technical questions about my role in my projects?

If it’s an HR person interviewing they probably won’t fully understand the work but want to hear how you worked with others on projects and planned and executed them

#

Also understand how to present projects to a non technical audience

Alright thanks a lot for your time

#

Do you know of any good websites where I can look at questions like that and see some sample answers?

#

Or alternatively what should I be looking up to find them?

"HR Interview Questions"?

Yeah that’s good

#

Technique I use when answering is address problem, break it down, solve it, then recap

Is there a wrong way to answer questions like that? I mean it really just boils down to my personality and whether or not they like it, so there's very little I can do to practice beforehand, right? I was told by a friend that if I was asked the strength/weaknesses question that should I talk about how I'm too detail-oriented and that sometimes leads to delays, but that sounds like a cheesy answer, should I be honest or lie?

You can honestly answer a question and still keep it in a positive light

#

I often treat HR interviews like normal conversations

#

I rarely overthink them personally

I understand

Is it often the case that these interviews are somewhat of a formality after a technical interview and that I basically have the job or should I not get my hopes up?

It’s possible to fail them

#

Very rare

#

Like we had one guy who said he hated working in teams and didn’t respect our boss

If you really just can’t communicate well or seem like you will be an asshole to work with then yeah you’d fail

#

But it’s a good sign to get to the next step of interviews
