Hi, I am currently 16 years old. I am about to enter Grade 11 and will eventually enter college. I plan to take up a Computer Science course in order to become a software engineer in the future.

But there is the news with AI becoming smart enough to do coding and a lot of people are saying it will eventually replace the jobs of software engineers and programmers which is very scary.

I believe all of you are aware of this news.

So, do you guys think I should continue pursuing software engineering?

Figure out why/how you have an interest in software, research the education and skills necessary to become a software engineer, research which pathway you'd like to undertake in becoming a software engineer, research different career options/interests if you'd like, just do a shitload of research in general, then worry about if this is a tenable career choice

I've researched a lot of alternatives, tried a lot of alternatives. Gauging my interests and personality, I'm surprised I haven't tried journeying to this career field sooner.
