Capitalize “Programming Languages” and “Version Control” in the skills section
Node is really Node.js
Consult the official documentation for any language or framework
Hey, thanks for your insight. Those are all valid suggestions and they all do make sense to me. Would you mind elaborating on your last input? What do you mean by consulting the official documentation?
Sure thing, I should have been more clear. The official documentation contains the official name of the framework and you would always want to use that name on a resume. For example, since the Node.js documentation refers to it as Node.js, use that verbatim
Thanks! That's kind of what I assumed but just wanted to make sure. Totally makes sense to me. Anything else you'd like to share?
The dates on your jobs aren’t aligned the same
If you make a new draft ping me and I’ll take a look
Also review STAR for your bullet points. Check the pinned forum post. All your bullets should begin with a strong action verb too
@fading sedge Hey! Thank you so much for your help. The dates not being aligned could be because I changed the company name. In my real one they are aligned. But thanks for checking! Also I put some more work and here's the updated version. Please take a look and let me know what you think!
"Successfully implemented and integrated 10+ features, including functionality for @ mention, image upload and text editor, using third-party APIs and packages"
- Use oxford comma after and
- text editor -> text editing
Company Two
- You still have Node listed instead of Node.js
- You say "Cloud Functions". Which cloud service is it a part of? Include it
Projects
- Your bullet points end in a period. Remove the periods since your other bullets don't have them
- NONE of the bullets follow STAR. They should follow the same format as the ones under professional experience
These are the items I noticed at a glance
