how much did u increase up time by
what did u use to enable r/w
what did u use to create the web based video tool
“that ran more lines of code” -> “Overhauled testing … by creating unit and integration tests, increasing total line and branch coverage by XY%”
u dont mention a single language/library or framework used for anything in ur AWS experience
ur 2nd swe job is pretty.. meh
i would remove the dates from projects. None of em have been created in the past 2 years
remove instances of pronouns in the resume
the work I did for AWS EBS was using internal libraries and using C, the annotation tool was using REACT and leveraging Python Lambda and sagemaker to label data and create workers and tasks
2nd swe job was not that interesting imo
“Used deep learning…”
- “Used” not a great word, maybe can say like Leveraged? or something of that nature
how should I describe internal libraries?
what libraries? i work at zon
we cant mention the internal ones but u can at the very least mention C
“Relation Non/Relation DB”, i would actually list off which DBs u know, it may be better just for dinging on key words
makes sense, do u think i should be targetting junior level roles (that's what I've been applying for)
thanks for all your suggestions, I really appreciate them KJ
nah prolly can go for mid level. Depending on when u started the second swe role, sounds like u may have around 3 YOE
so should be good for mid level
ii have 2.5
worst case scenario applying for mid level is that they downgrade u to entry level
but very rarely would applying to entry level would they upgrade u to mid level
i've been applying to entry @faangs/faang equivalent and mid at others
i dont think i'm quite mid level yet at faang
updated a bit with a couple of your suggestions
forgot to remove some pronouns (will edit it again oops)
whatd u use to create the unit tests? the common ones used at java are also public so should be fine to use
oh nice ur in process of getting ur MS? in that case i would consider putting education up top or possibly above projects
yeah have a final round interview with them next week and a strong recommendation from a senior manager
