i dont think the jobs have closed up already, quite the opposite really. I have 3 interview this week for internship positions and my resumes not that impressive. There are still a lot of companies hiring for interns, just mass apply in your area and see if anyone bites.
maybe if your getting no responses you also need to redo your resume and try to make it more appealing to employers
sorry, i thought you didn’t like i was asking so many questions. i’ve just been hearing about people going months after graduating without being able to get a job so i’ve just been worried since the same ppl that don’t take as long to get new grad have a lot of experience from throughout college
you mean #973969267294871562 ?
what i meant was i was trying to get a good enough job after graduating, but to do that, everyone i see that pulls it off would have more experience by me at the current stage i'm in (e.g. internship summer after sophomore year, or even earlier, when i haven't interned at an established company, only startups through my university)
why don't you just work an internship this upcoming summer?
in 2023
i meant 2023 as next summer in the post - i haven't gotten anything
there's still time to apply though how do you know your out of the running already?
i mean recruiting was at its peak in august/september and it's december now...some of the applications i put in sent emails saying they were closing apps
plus im not sure how much more luck i can gain now with leetcode/interviews/my resume if i didnt have much to start with in earlier months
i mean, im first year so i struggled to meet the expectations around september even though i did apply i just got all rejections. i applied in December and i've gotten a ton of companies responding. Even applications from this week have responses for interviews.
i dont have a job yet but they aren't outright rejecting me right now
so ya point is they aren't done yet and you can still find positions if you just look up SWE internships in your area
oh, i'm a sophomore right now
your resume is probably better than mine though if youre getting more responses than me
i doubt it. You can check it out here. #1052067017856929862 message
