just a quick background, I am just an entry level new grad, I dont have any work experience. I wouldnt even consider myself competent in programming at all, im pretty clueless overall. However, I have still been job searching and I received a verbal offer from a company (we did a video technical interview prior). But some reasons I dont like it are:
-
The pay is like really low. I dont mind low pay cause I live with my parents, but I was wondering if I just waited if I could get a better salary with another company? Is there a way for me to negotiate a better salary? I'd like atleast 70k.
-
The techstack is liek completely different from what I have been studying. I hear some people say you can learn on the job but I could barely handle what I know already.
-
The company reviews are pretty bad. Like every other review has something bad to say about the management or the teams.
Its a remote job though, and I heard that as an entry level swe, you cant be picky with your first job. But is this job like too bad? should i tell them no and keep searching? I would ideally like to work here for maybe 2 years max then go elsewhere.
