Himeko is goated for aoe Super Break and also Pure Fiction, but I don't recommend you try to tackle the endgame right now.
Welt is good for turn delaying but it's honestly not a good pick overall (I'm sorry)
Bronya is the strongest of the standard 5* characters simply for being an action advancer (much like Sunday is now or Sparkle previously.
There's a lot of debate about Bronya vs Sparkle but in general, Bronya is a good go-to option for hypercarry DPS.

Yeah I know. I got it to where she gets the one action against me before charging super and I break her before it goes off. Only trouble would be if she bullies HMC or Ruan with literally every attack they’d die. Which… she did with surprising frequency.

Any of the limiteds will be better than Bailu, but if you don't have much to work with and don't wanna pull then you could consider picking her up

Bailu is good for the early game but starts to fall off pretty hard the further along you go
Long term, it isn't a good idea to go for Bailu because Lynx still has more utility
The revive she has is not worth pulling for her, since you should never be going down (ideally).
IIrc, you get Lynx for free after beating the permanent MOC (think it was floor 8 or 10).
I'm pretty sure it's possible to get there using only Natasha and March.
Or you can wait until you finish Belobog and you'll have a sustain just as good as Bailu (for the early to mid game, again).
