i was confused since i usualy call these wheel chalks

the reason against this is handbrake

but a chalk could fit

the problem with handbreakes are that first, its not realistic to stop a for example car transporter mid shunt with it, or lets take a gravity hill shunting, there is no sutch thing in dv but you can do it on every grade there is. how do you want to stop 4+ moving cars/trains at the same time at the perfect location without brakeshoes (i still call it that way becouse in germany) ? its not only cus of holding a train in the stopped position, its for controlled stopping too

ive never seen them used in that fashion

with the "Gravity Yard" they have a special bit of equipment called a 'speed retarder' which presses on the wheels when a car goes over it to slow it down

now knowing what exactly is being talked about i can see it being a shop item

another idea is a litte gyzmo that ataches to the air on the end of a wagon, which with a remote can be activated
