#Freight-oriented world (no shunting, all tracks reassigned to input or output)

Pretty much the title. I don't know if it's easy or even possible to do, but it probably would be nice to reassign all the tracks to input or output, so we have a lot of freight haul going about and can have long trains which are a pain in the butt to assemble otherwise

this would indeed be real interesting, option to replace all passenger tracks with cargo lanes would also increase total train size

sounds doable, needs to replace the vanilla job generation script. Instead of generating a full job chain, you only create the freight haul. It's possible to create freight haul jobs on any track, but I don't know if renaming the tracks possible, their names and type are part of the map. I assume logistic haul isn't wanted either? you would need to make sure that smaller consists still spawn if you intend to make a new career session.
I would leave the Input track empty, and ignore storage tracks, since they are inconvenient.

even vanilla doesn't have to start a job chain with a SL job, so even that isn't required, just reassigning track designations should do the trick I think

#

LH shouldn't be required by virtue of not having any empty cars in the world

#

as for starting the game, well, in the worst case you can earn by shunting, or by splitting the consists and delivering them in parts (though I imagine that's gonna cut into profits lol)

I'm the OP lol. You don't need long license to make long trains, it's only required for a single job to be long
