Because other games will have American along with other countries but then are clearly biased to the other countries. Ats vs ets2 and Snowrunner for example

fortunately altfuture has a much lower concentration of americans(compared to other rail games that encontered), which makes trains from all over the world to be featured, not just the main places

I feel the majority of the group that wants American locos don't want them just because they're American, as @wet citrus said America has a very prominent rail history and as such has some of the most prominent locos causing a proportional amount of requests to be for ones from America. With derail valley being, in my opinion, the most fun train sim on the market it would be awesome to see some of the locos in game
