Turn off mosquito/fly sound

I'm excessively sensitive to the sound of a flying mosquito or fly. Since last update, DV added that sound and unfortunately, I can't stand it and I get shivers.
How hard is it to make a mod that turns it off?

I mean, it would just be digging into sound files

Not only I don't know how, but also the editor appears to only work on windows.
