#Maybe this engine could be added as a DH2?

Is...is that a Beep? https://www.ebay.com/itm/166233315254
seems like it might be, its american then and they did not like dh ocomotives
So a snail basically
The Beep is a fictional super-short GP9 (there's also a Beef, same idea but it's a Baldwin RF-16 "Sharknose"). Ideally it'd be a fully-functional locomotive, so basically an alternative to the DE2.
Who told you it’s fictional?
There is a real beep, but it looks more like a switcher than a high-hood because it was made on a shorter B unit frame (hence the name)
It had the same number of axles as a normal GPx loco, but it was the length of a B unit
seems more like a TP56 to me
Saying it was the length of a B unit makes no sense to me because B units are usually just locomotives with no cabs, otherwise identical to their "A" unit variants.
but, they are sometimes shorter. The section of body where the cab would be is shrunk down to the size required for the MU equipment etc., and that's it
at least, this "beep" was. Thus, it needed a short cab as used on smaller shunter locos
sorry, I was wrong. The Beep is short for "Baldwin Geep" and is built on the chassis of an old Baldwin switcher- retaining only the cab.
Ah. That's cool though 🙂
There're two GP60B's that live in my nearest trainyard 🙂
to use your GP60B as an example, it seems they were the same length as a GP60 but with the dynamic brake equipment moved forward (to keep it cool away from the engine maybe?)
Still looking to see if any are indeed shorter than their A counterparts
Yep, the blister's at the front instead of in the middle. I actually just drove past them about 40 minutes ago coming back with dinner lol
They're BNSF, H2 scheme.
In today's video, we look at one of BNSF's most unique locomotives. It's old enough to have shared the rails with steam engines, and is the only one of it's kind!

I didn't know about that Beep until this thread 😛
The sentinels are diesel hydtolic so might be a neat consideration for the original post
Someone was working on one of them before the simulator update
Sweet, hopefully they resume work on it
