#A cabless DE2 and DE6 (B-unit)

aren't those called slugs?
👍
are these just supposed to be a slightly cheaper way do multiple unit?
as you really only need one cab
Ya they are slightly cheaper then A-units
Well, cabless DE6s are going going to be added in Simulator aren't they?
There going to add a Slug DE6 which is a diesel without it's Prime mover and cab.
I was thinking of a B-unit which is a engine just without the cab.
whats the diffrence? stop complaining...
Slug=electric motors only
B-unit=locomotive without cabin
usually the generator on an A unit is more than enough to power it own motors so adding a slug is basically bonus power right?
slugs do not provide extra power, their usefulness is in providing extra traction, which does provides a flatter useful power curve, this graph works even though it uses the wrong unit for power:

With a slug basically change that graph for power to 2x displayed but as a example assume that engine can only provide 15HP, well, also assuming slug is exact weight as engine unit, simplifications basically
ima revive this cause yes
yeah slugs are more for distributing power instead of adding
