I need some feedback from you guys. In my home brewed world gnomes have the following stereotype. They are seeking knowledge and avoid violent confrontation. The society values the freedom of the individual above strong family relations. Therefore, there are no family names. Young gnomes are called by their first name + adjective, which came first to their parents mind (e.g.John joyful).
Most gnomes try to find their craft and strive of becoming a master. When a gnome creates build something extraordinary he/she can get a title rewarded by the gnome leaders. John Blackbottom bridgebuilder. This marks their transition to adulthood. (So therer are gnomes who are 30 years old and still treated like children.)
This can happen multiple times showing off their skill. With that being said I came up with the following benefits:
Size 1s
Can you smell the crystal? (In my world crystals can be charged with magic)
You can sniff out valuable crystals within 20 squares. You can determine the type of crystal with your nose within 5 squares.
MC Giver was a gnome!
You have an edge on one crafting skills. Add one additional skill at lvl 3,5,7,9. You can create minor things even without the proper tools.
Titles are everything!
Gnomes are susceptive to titles. For rolls made during a negotiation you get an edge/bane if you have more/less titles than the other party. For instance, if you lack two titles you have a bane for two rolls.
Thanks in advance!
