Once I know K&R 2Ed and Computer Systems: A Programmer's Perspective by heart, what more do I need to know by heart in order to do professional C programming (writing programs that have value on the market). With knowing by heart I mean: understanding the texts thoroughly and being able to write any type of program mentioned in it.
Thanks!

Okay that is great news! But doesn't hardware and asm knowledge from a C perspective will help a lot too? Understanding what effect the more abstract C has on the machine?
I think it depends more on what kind of jobs ur aiming for
for example, if it's embedded systems related then u should practice things related to that field, same for systems programming etc
Apply for an internship.
I prefer learning things when I actually need them, but it's up to you
Well, I think, based on the answers I got here, that after completing the two books, I will indeed just join in a coding project that requires C programming.
Thanks, all!
