for context here's the question
and here is the code i attempted
i don't think that's correct in the slightest or even if it makes any sense but thats why i'm here
while i'm at it i don't understand the other two either i am lostttt pleasee if anyone can help me i would so appreciate it
try running it
does it work?
what doesn't work about it
alright
you have provided a prototype declaration for addition(int, int), and you call the function, but you never actually provided a definition for what the function does
where did i call the function? and how do you do that?
I'd recommend starting here https://www.programiz.com/cpp-programming/function
i'm a huge beginner so when i write code i often don't even know what the pieces of the code are called i just kind of copy from my notes and hope for the best
it's very important to not guess at C++ syntax ๐
i know ๐ but it's so tough to spend hours and hours trying to understand with 4 other college classes to worry about u feel. but thanks i'll read that article
@tropic drift Has your question been resolved? If so, run !solved :)
no, not yet. still working! i promise i will run it when i've completed the assignment
oh i'm replying to a bot
brotherr i'm dumb
what can I help with
i still haven't done 1 or 2 yet but is this an appropriate code and output for 3?
I think #3 probably wants you to take user input
i don't know what that means ๐ฅฒ
like prinf and scanf? but still i really don't understand how to apply them
cin and cout probably
i used cout there
I have no idea what #3 wants you to do because the screenshot you sent doesn't really say. But I'm 99% sure they want you to not just hard code the converstaion
For example, let the user input their name
huh. wild. i don't blame you for not understanding the directions either bc my professor can be very vague
