I’m new to vcpkg and downloading some libraries using it but when I create a console c++ app in visual studio and create headers it doesn’t recognize the libraries

we'll need more info about the steps you took, the commands you rand, the output, any error messages, the documentation you're using

#

and more, whatever else is relevant

As the bad_doggo mentioned, please track what the steps you taken and tell us.
"it just doesn't work" is so generic and at the point, pointless.

well, we still don't have enough detail to help

#

and I tend to feel the same about anyone who uses the phrase "it doesn't work"

#

you will need to be painfully detailed and specific

#

maybe you made a typo, maybe you ran some commands in the wrong order. maybe you failed to run a command you should have

#

we can't know if you don't show us precisely, verbatim, exactly which commands you ran, from where, in what order, the outputs, etc

#

and frankly that's only sort of the bare minimum entry point to begin being eligible to receive help, you'll probably need to do more and show more after that

#

or convince someone to do an interactive voice chat screenshare discord call with you. however, that person is not me.
