probably
i used to, don't know about this year
Yeah usually. It’s a Colombian thing to open a few
We only open one and they are pajamas
this ^ always just the PJs
All of them, 24th is the main day for presents here
We open all presents here in Denmark (and most of Europe?). Like, it's almost the whole point of Christmas Eve (to a kid).
Thought thematically it makes zero sense. Like, with Santa and all
even The Gloose gift?
No
Though I must add that most are already opened as as an adult I am not bound by these mortal coils of gift days (read: I am impatient and so is my love)
wondering if the line is drawn between Catholic and Protestant Europe
Lol how's that work then, you spread em out, or give them the moment you buy them?
LOL same I'm impatient and can't wait when I have a gift for someone
We tried to wait, managed longer than last year, first opening one on 20th but opened the rest on yesterday.
Though I am wrapping something I got as an extra so that there's something for Sunday too now and there is apparently something waiting for me too
That's funny. I'm guessing it's maybe because you don't hold like a big function, with people coming from a ways away on that specific date, and opening anything or giving anything spoils the point of their trip?
Nah it's just us and my brother&his family who live right next door
And they dont really do gifts
But then again I hold tight on rules and routine and such, even extremely arbitrary ones 😅
I see...
Sometimes the ones from my friends
no
Typically, no. My mom tends to give me pajamas early because she can't wait or doesn't want to wrap them and so I feel like unwrapping something early would be a bit excessive
Nah
no, you have to wait until christmas morning, which starts at 3 am
yh
only one
My family opens 1 gift on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day. The 1 gift can be any gift you pick at random.
What a strange tradition, I'm kind of mindblown
