it's probably easier to get a router inside your home that seperates you from there rest if it's a shared connection

That definitely would be easier but we aren't allowed to plug in our own routers and I think the network is set to disable ports when they notice a router plugged in. It seems the HA is running fine as I have it hooked up to a monitor and it gives an IP and everything I just can't fit out how to connect
So that would mean switches are also not allowed? But what if you had multiple devices that ONLY work with ethernet? If that were the case I'd shell out for some unlimited 4g bro. I would NOT like to deal with invasive internet rules like that. They could literally see everything in your pc, all your nightly adventures (like everyone else on the same network).
LMAO yeah I've got unlimited data and a simple VPN would be enough to stop them from seeing anything I do. I'm just tryna figure out how to connect to my home assistant front end
