#HDD Not shown in HA

What are you actually trying to do by attaching a HDD?
I only attached it, but I have no idea where to format it in HA or what to do next.
But what is your end goal by attaching it?
To use it in my Network, the Pi is exposed by the Samba App/Addon
It doesn't really matter what I need it for. XD
So you want to use HAOS as a NAS essentially?
Using HAOS this way is not really a good idea.
You could move your data disk over to using the USB HDD drive then use the samba App
however:
this is 1 way
you are then dependant on the HDD, if you unplug it HA will not work
the HDD will not necessarily be easily readable on other systems
you will probably need to remove your share folder from your HA backup otherwise you will be very large backups.
you could instead manually set up mounting the external drive with a udev rule and symlink to it in the share directory. although you may still have the requirement of switching off backing up the share directory. and you may have to recreate the udev rule upon certain updates.
There is also an older custom addon/app that is called SambaNas I think its in maintenance mode whilst they rewrite it. but you could look at using that instead of the stock samba app.
That's not really supported. HAOS is not a NAS or general purpose server OS. Don't abuse it as one.
Okay,thank You guys
